BF2S Forums Is this stat padding or not?

its against the rules, but not technically stat padding, I wouldn't report them as Knife Only Servers isn't exactly a big problem.

if an admin enforces knife only (like you can see at the screenshot), it's against the RoE. Read it and post then.

Lol, and they banned you Tealeaf, that is the biggest laugh off all, bunch of pathetic losers. Can't make a decent score with normal play.

If the every player agrees to using a certain weapon only that is fine it is the players choice on how they use their weapons.  However  you may not be kicked banned or what ever for coming into a server and using big guns.  You paid for the game and were given weapons touse so damnit go out there and knife fight , its all good, hell I'll stabbed your throat for ya or get my balls cut off.  But the mainthing is that

1.  If you and some peeps want to knife fight thats fine, but it cannot be mandatory
2.  If you see peeps slicing each other and you wanna light of the enemy go (i get pissed though when I get shot while in a middle of a knife fight) for it and techanically the admin cant say shit to ya.

sure it has been deleted coz there were too many proofs for stat padding / abusing admin rights. but I think your screenshot tells the whole story.

Way ahead of you mate!! i reported them earlier. Banning me for no reason was Admin abuse so i reported that too.

I am on the fence on whether to have a stern discussion with those involved or to just fire their asses. I seem to twist both ways this morning when I have thought about it. On the Karkand thing and Knife Only, EA does take that seriously there are a number of ranked servers they have shut down because of it. It is a strict No-No and about the only server rule they enforce. You say it is no big deal, but all EA will do is point at Master Chief wearing a HAF tag and say that since he represents us he is setting official server policy. DO NOT EVER say that our Server is Knife only, Pistol only C4 only. It is bad enough that we are considering shutting down the server, now we have to worry about EA doing it for us.

If people on that server wanted to have a knife fight that is perfectly fine! But for them to tell anyone else that they have to participate and not use any other weapons makes it stat padding!

I don't know why knife only servers are illegal at all. Any veteran player can get the same stats from a knife only server as they can from an infantry only server, or any other server for that matter. So no, if the server suddenly decided that everyone should use knives then I don't think it's statpadding. If they enforce it and kick people for not playing along, although really shitty, what are you going to do? If you didn't like it you should have left, or joined in the fun. Big knife fights are fun from time to time. Point is that RoE add up to about a tiny pile of hamster shit. They're only guidelines and are rarely enforced by EA unless there is some serious abuse going on. If EA actually did anything about clans/servers enforcing random rules then I could single handedly get many servers shut down. I've been kicked/banned from servers for all kinds of bullshit reasons... best one as of yet came two days ago... got banned from a server because to fly a jet or chopper in that server you HAD to be in their ventrilo server to "communicate with other pilots," but their ventrilo server was passworded and when you asked them for the password they claimed; "It's not passworded, idiot." Its people like this that should have their servers revoked, etc. But if some admins want to enforce knives only one game, or snipers only, etc. just go along with it (You might actually have fun) or find a new server... you have hundreds to chose from.

even though this is old i will post as it has been bumped anyways,
i was playing on a ranked server with only 10 people out of 32 and they were knife fighting untill more people came, anyways more people came and a few including me were still knife fighting when others were shooting and i still beet most of the people who were using guns.
i dont care if people knife fight much i really only get pissed off at hackers.
