So, I installed the 1.22 patch yesterday and everything worked fine, joining servers, gameplay, everything. But today I tried connecting to an EA Official server and when the map was finished loading and the Join button showed up, the server disconnected and sent me back to the server list, together with this error message:

"This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of Battlefield 2 to the current official version to join."

Isn't 1.22 the official version? It worked fine yesterday, but now it don't. I tried joining several servers, but the same message occured. Can someone help me here? Btw, don't know if this means anything, but in the top right corner of the BF2 menu it says: 1.1.2720-552.0

Yes I am having the same problem and the same message. I haven't modified the game in anyway and never ever had a problem like this before. This has just happened with the latest patch.

Please can someone help us with what may be the problem.

Teeksy90 , Ok maybe this will help you , at least I'm hopping it does for you.  As you know from my first post I had the same problem. What I did is got rid of the incremental and downloaded it again and it said I needed the 1.21 patch before the 1.22 so its like it replaced it somehow, strange.. So somehow it didnt patch the 1.21. I then got rid of it and did the full download and it worked .Everything is good to go now.

Try doownloading the full 1.22 and I hope it goes well for you.
