SWAP + LOOP SOUND on JOINING the first game!!!

After the patch, before joining the first game, when I hit to enter the game, for 5 secs. my HD swaps, sounds loop and then it enters... then I can shutdown BF2, re-enter, join all the servers and I won't get it until I restart my PC.

What could it be?

I get the same sound looping thing everytime I enter a game. TBH I just assumed it was my laptop having "issues" as I am squeezing it somewhat to play bf2. I never gave it any more thought. I'll try your shutdown and re-enter thing sometime and see what happens coz that would be interesting, if it no longer exhibits the behviour.
