if i am commander and am holding claymore , at mine or c4 in hand and get 23 artillery kills do i get veteran explosive ordinance????
no, the kills will count in your stats and in your stats with the kit but they will not count as kills with a particular weapon

yeah strangelove is correct, since it would need to say [c4] [at-mine] at the top of the screen rather than [arty]. ground defence requires the same.. etc
i dont think you can get the kills for them although you can get the time needed, i may be wrong and it may work for those two things, however i am pretty sure it doesnt work for vehiclesVaregg wrote:

There are plenty of screenshots of people being commander and getting Expert Ground def and Expert antiair badge .... and i`m pretty sure u can do this with all vehicles and weapons.

If you sit in a vechicle, MG, TOW or AA, the arty kills will be registered on your stats as one of those.
It does not work the same with the weapon you're holding when the arty strikes.
(Imagine how easy the knife/pistol badges would be?)

Hold on, you can get your ground defense badge if you simply sit in a machine gun nest whilst doing the actual killing with artillery?

Remember that claymores explode in a V infront of where you lay them!
I have no idea how I am going to get 30 + explosvie kills though... thats going to have to be a long long map.

Jihad jeeps are not so good any more
You can get ur badges (kit and ground or what not) in arty kills. But I havent tryed it with the c4 yet. I might try that later tongight!
Also If the same thing works with a tank, like 35 kills as sniper, you kill 35 guys as sniper in a tank you can get the expt sniper badge. I wounder if the same thing will happen for the c4. Hold the c4 and get in a tank and go get some kills. I wil try it and let yall ladies know.

It doesn't work that way DHG. If you hold c4/AT mines or claymores the arty kills you make will go into the kit you are using at that time. If you hold c4 while killing people in your tank, the kills will go into the armor section. I whis it'd work that way ;p but it would be too easy to get expert stuff that way.

They should just make an expert arty badge.
Personally I've recieved all of my awards actually using the item. The vet ground defense was tough to get not super tough but it took me a few rounds. You generally have to find people willing to do TOW vs vehicle.
With the mounted MG I was getting alot of kill assits very few kills, TOW vs tank ... This will work but you often don't get them on the first shot.
Few maps later I had a guy running around capping flags in a humvee. Nice sometimes he had a few guys with him didn't take very long.
However considering I could have got the badge with arty... I'd feel as though my award was cheapened. Try getting it the correct way first.
To the guy posting the expert ground defense... I say what a waste... hope your arty badge make you prowd.
Currently I'm at the point where I could get Expert Spec ops... I'm sure I could do it base raping in a plane or armour but I'd like to try to get it on foot. I suggest everyone do the same, get teh badge the hardway you won't be sorry when you get it.

The only way it would work is if you threw a whole shitload of gaymores around then artied it when guyswhere there, you might set off the gaymores and get some kills with them instead. Unfortunately you cant blow up gaymores anymore ):
For me getting the expt explosive would make my gaming easier. Because I have been going for badges for the hell of it. And the explosive badge is the hardest and funnest one to go after. But thats just me.
Bah .... i have bigger problems getting 23 with explosives than i ever had doing 18 with the knife *sigh*
