A job for EA/DICE...

AFTER you have studied and fixed the games bugs and exploits etc please could you release a map pack for us gamers which is FREE and which includes some INFANTRY ONLY maps with NO air power or armor...
Euroforce and Armoured Fury are mainly about tanks in my opinion, and we need some infantry maps like sharqi and strike..

your thoughts?

edit: yes i know that neither of these things are likely to happen but i can dream!!

A job for the US:

Blow up EA/DICE, Spend the money you're throwing away in Afghanistan, fighting for a democracy that still wants to hang people because they still believe in the old laws, on rebuilding EA/DICE, and having them start fresh.

Think of it as a format.

A map pack is a good idea

but infantry only? Dude , after all the time u spend playing BF, havent you learned that the concept of BF is about vehicules. that BF all about! if you take out Vehicules you take away what BF is about

i dont think the concept of bf2 is about vehicles!

i just think a map or two purely infantry will add something different to the game - no one will ever complain about tank whores, jet whores, chopper whores - just plain old infantry v infantry, soldier v soldier, gun v rifle etc etc

i for one have played a few games where no one has really used choppers or tanks (not admin enforced) and they were some of the best games i have played - just so fun - especially in squads with friends...

obvioously u cannot read english very well ....

a main part of bf2 is about vehicles...as is guns and trees and flags

the concept of bf2 is not just about vehicles..

its obvious u didnt play the other BF games

no EA map was only for infantry there always where vehicules around and thats how it should be . i didnt bought BF2 for infantry only, there are 100 other titles that only has infantry , so your job is go look for them and stop playing BF2 if u dont like the Concept of having vehicules in it!

i play sometimes as a gunner in chopper and quite a lot in tank and i enjoy both...

hoever out of like 25 maps it would be nice just to have 1 or 2 to play every now and then with no choppers or tanks - that is my point...

your responding as if i wanted bf2 to get rid of all its vehicles - im not saying this! im just saying the above!

I agree with bingobones, it would be kl to have a map like karkand without any tanks i.e. without any armour whoring noobs.
However all the BFs and their mods have always had vehicles in them except Berlin in BF1942 which has to have been one of my favourite maps so yeh, infantry only map sounds kl

Bingobones. I actually read your original posts and i got the idea of what you were trying to get across (unlike some people). I agree that having 1 or 2 infantry only maps would make for great gameplay. The people who like to use vehicles have all the maps in the world, but people who enjoy infantry based combat are left wanting. Once and a while you'll get both sides not using any vehicles, but that happens once in a blue moon. Plus, infantry kills are so much more personal. Your in their face when you kill em ('cept snipers). Leaves plenty of good teabagging.
