hi all,

System crashed/will need to format hard drive and put back windows XP ( battlefield2 also....)

1-Will I loose everything?

I'm at almost 500 hours of games and ohhh so near many medals!!!!!!!!!!!

2-My username is lagoose but always had my pasword remembered by the game.. how can I retreive it?

3- can I play on another machine if I have my username and password for the game? Will all be lost?

accnts are not stored locally
you may simply retrieve your accnt from the in game menu.

Tks for the reply but can you be just a little more specific? Do you mean that my account is not stored on my computer but on a EAGAMEs server? If so, what is the profiles folder on my hard drive?

how can I retreive my account when I reinstall if I dont remember my password? Will I be able to reinstall my Lagoose account?

I have many user session on my windowsXP PC and none would let me play on Lagoose except the one I was always playing with. I doubt I can play again when I will reinstall.

Yes, ALL of your stats are stored on EA's servers. Those folders are just for control settings and such. And I'm not sure about you forgetting your password, but im sure there is some way to get ea to email the password to you.

Hi,

Be careful Koss! There is a big difference between stats and account.

I know EAgames stores the stats of any gamers who plays on ranked server. This is not the point here, the point is about the program of the game. Do I need to save anything ...If I can, before I format my hard drive or Im I doomed to loose all and just look at my old stats on this BF2S and say.... Wow that was the good old days....

Please someone who has knowledge HELP!!!!!!!

Nope I used to reformat my computer all the time from looking at *cough*. I just did the retrieve account thing on the account selection screen.
