Why is it, that it is so easy to get resupply points or heal points, but repair points take ages?

It's been impossible for me to get veteran repair even after i go engineer the whole round, repairing everything i see.

I understand that the idea of dropping repair packs would be stupid, but i do think that repair points should go up as fast as heal or resupply points. If not that, at least twice as fast as it is now.
I mean, you repair two tanks from scratch, and if you're lucky, thats one repair point, And that's a difficult job cause you have to follow em around, with hardly any cover, no weapon ready, etc.

I agree...

But make sure you fix commander toys and hope that the enemy spec ops is stubborn.

I got mine on warlord and got about half in battle (stayed close to the tank) and 5 in the uncap fixing stuff.

Get yourself into a tank or apc for the round as an engineer, and stick with the other tank/apc.  You'll basically be repairing him the entire round.  It's better if you're actually both using the engineer kit.   If repairing assets, jump into a vehicle/heli and just drive up next to it, the repair goes much faster.

Agree with the post above - reparing its more than twice as fast if u`re in a vehicle close to something that is broken.

And u get 1 repairpoint for each full repair, so if u repair a tank thats almost blown up u have to wrench a couple of times on another to get your point. Only thing u can repair from scratch is commander assets.

Veteran is easy once you get the hang of it.  I regulary get 10 repair points a round on most maps now.  Use a jeep or fast buggy.  You repair things faster and you can go from tank to tank to commander toy much quicker to get the repair points.  Tell the commander not to drop supplies so you can repair his stuff and get the points.  It helps his command score that way and it helps you.

I'm still trying to get 25 for the expert.  I got 13 in a round once.  I haven't been able to do that since, but I usually get 10 - 11 a round.

Its in fact very very easy - its almost ludicrous how easy it is, i often get repairpoints without even being an engineer - thats how easy 8-)

i'm a keen engineer.
retreat +repair my own vehicle, to take out bigger stuff.
think its a waste being in armour if your not an engineer.
the rest is just hours building.

my personal best is i think 19 repairs in a round, ive got 10-15 like 30+ times, the trick is as many people have said is be in a vechile to reapir things.
Reasons:  a) you can repair more then one thing at once.
               b) you can do other things (like kill people/command) while repairing
               c) its alot quicker to get from where your repairing to another damged vechile, commander asset.
               d) repairing is quicker

Afew other tips are, because you repair at the same "hitpoints" per second and repair points are based on %repairs (100% repair = 1repair point) repairing transports is alot quicker at getting up repair points.

Remember there has to someone in a vechile for you to get repair points so theres really no benefit to getting out and repairing your own vechile. In the case of choppers/hmmvs etc you can sit in the back and repair them and as theres someone in the vechile youll get a repair point.

When ever you get in armor be an engineer and try and tell the others in armor to do the same then go around in an armor convoy("stick together team"). Youll repair each other, give each other backup and find that only AT mines (which you can defuse), c4 (but you should have 2+tank/aps) so the spec ops getting to you is diminished, direct arty strike (very rare) or a very co-ordinated barage of attacks from AT and enemy armor (also very rare) will be able to kill you. In this way you ca get around an infantry map (karkand/sharqi/SF maps) with no deaths and 30+ kills easily and 5-15 repairs depending on how much the enemy attacks the convoy.

I've figured it out. There is NO WAY to get the engineer repair without cheating unless you have over 1000 hours playing strictly engineer, or on a shitty 64 map with 12 guys in it ( and I think that is cheap)

Umm...no,Just don't repair on foot and when in armor stick close to other engineers in armor.I got mine with like 2 tickets left.

Oh wait, I don't get into armor much..maybe thats the problem, and I play full 64's all the time...Getting armor in a full 64 is like getting BJ from a nun.

Why compare repair points to heal/resupply points, when it's easy to get repair points compared to no assault, sniper or AT points? (I love AT )
