Hi,

I just bought an 7800 GS AGP and I have suddenly started getting choppyness ingame, any suggestions why? System Spec below.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.0Ghz
Asus K8V-X @ 800FSB
1GB DDR2 PC3200
BFG Nvidia 7800 GS OC 256MB
Creative Audigy 2

I have the latest drivers for the Nvidia and Sound Card. All help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The GS series of cards is haveing issues for some reason with ALOT of games. Ive had friends buy 6800GS and the 7800GS cards only to have to return them 3 times before they got a working card.

They honestly should have Killed off the AGP versions Instead of releasing such buggy cards. The cores on the cards are Made for PCIe, and i think there having problems with the PCIe to AGP bridges.

Also, i think the latest driver was the first one to support this line of cards, so maybe a new driver version when released will fix these issues? Lets hope.

PS, i dont think DDR2 works in a non PCIe board.

Works fine on all other games such as Flight Simulator 2004 and Quake 4 all on high graphics. It just seems to be bf2 which is a pain in the arse.
