Just a random thought of mine, just how far away are the majority of the aussie servers able to be played lol

if your a player or have played on any of the following networks, post something

Internode
GameArena
OGN
ICONZ
Xtra

and since this thread is likely to attract the attention of anyone in the right region... how bout posting some support for an official BF2s.com AU server for all us who arent in the US or EU over here http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=20566

I can usually be found on any of the above servers, though I spend a lot of time in the 'node servers.

Would love to see an AU BF2s server down here too.

Thanks for reminding me of the other servers, my bro go the IP of my computer banned from internode and gamearena, and so far ive been playing on xtra, and i cant stand it, because there are only 4 servers i think and they are crappy

I play GA and Node at times but I really have a lot of fun sniping snipers on a 64 player server in Korea. I am an Aussie living in Singapore. Man those Koreans are crap! The only thing I can say is that if you value your life stay off the rooftops in Warlord.

I just got BF2 for my dad so I'll be playing GA and Node again with him. He's a pretty good gamer for someone whth few computer skills. He got through Farcry on extreme difficulty, though playing against other guys is a world away from bots. I learned that the hard way since BF2 is my first online FPS and I only started in January!

So far, the Aussie servers have:

1. The best players- I get killed more on Aussie servers than any other country in SE asia (Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Korea)
2. The best squads- there are too many smacktards on the US servers, When Aussies squad up and OBEY ORDERS things get very interesting.

i play Internode only (the only servers were aloud on at the lan cafe i play at) i am always raping on the ground viechles just makes me feel so dirty! :p ... suprisingly iv never seen anyone on these forums in game i play saturdays people.. all day LOOK FOR ME - I.M.I_Militant (mainly sniping) =]

Iconz is an NZ server, or at least, has a New Zealand website address, (.co.nz.) I'm pretty sure Xtra is the same.

Well techicaly Xtra is in singapore i think and ICONZ is from newzeland but i lumped them in with the mainland aussie servers cause well ... there arent many servers in this part of the world lol ... and since they collectively represent the only servers i can see with <300 ping im considering them to be "australian enough"

GameArena [flyboys] 48 on 64, best server ever.

In the main though I stick to node because the downloads are free for me (though node ya bastards you've not refunded anything to me for the last week so I'm 15mb over on a shaped plan and can't play bf2 until next week).

I've played on all of them except OGN... Never seen one before, might have to check it out. I lurk on Internode and GameArena alot, tend to stick to 24/7 due to my aversion to loading screens (crap computer, I miss half the round due to loading screens ...). Grab my Xfire if you want to play some time...

I play at Xtra Karkand 24/7 server a lot, it is in NZ. Generally speaking, the players over there are better, more friendly and teamplay. Although I get kicked a lots for high ping, but I enjoy playing with them.

There all good (except xtra with its autopunish and gamespace with its rather dodgy servers). The autobalance on GA seems fucked, though.

From Singapore...

Used to play a lot on Internode but after the patch, somehow the pings went south (like 300+++), so I dont have much of a choice but play on GA and ping is nuts for me there (varies between 150 to 200). If I had a choice I would stick to Node. But GameArena can be entertaining just watching the flaming in game..

And yes..since you are the OP for the Oceania BF2S server thread, I will play on that server if it ever gets setup.

same, after the permanant ban my local lan game place picked up at node... damn its a pain to lose them there, the best servers to play when i have the best experience to play them... but alas... a BF2s.com server would be a welcome addition ... somewhere where admins actualy enjoy kicking the tools off for being stuipd ... so everyone has a better game

94 points... blew the crap out of all the competition... closest was one on the other team with 74, their commander with 63, and one on my team with 60 lol... in a leauge of my own haha

Lets just play the same 2 maps over and over on servers where 1 side is ALWAYS dominant and stacked.

The servers you play on are just padding servers mate, no skill involved.

I've seen people like yourself that live on the same servers on the same team and just pad there way to stat padder glory.
