Back on topic. Purple Hearts aren't really a bad thing. It shows that you sacrificed your game for the team. For example, one round while trying to get the league of Merit and Veteran First Aid awards, I got the purple heart (later got enough kills to get out of the range). However that game I got around 80 points. I would call that sucky. It just means that I sacrificed my game by helping to improve the games of my team.
And on the round I did get it, I stayed and played, even though I new I had no chance of surving a spawn.

wake is great for purple heart. don't have one yet but the closest i've come has been on wake...its brutal when you are PLA and are down to 1-2 spawn points.

It was my first medal. I really wanted something shiny on my stats, so I went around on Karkand trying to get killed.

a couple ov weeks ago i was on Wkae island i had 5 kill and 19 deaths i was like please kill this guy round corner (UAV helped me know he was there) i popped round corner layed down and JUST killed him i had 3 bars left ov health
i got mine recently on karkand APC and TANK was camping hotel spawns they didn't even move once after 50 tickets was left they started to get flags then @ end we won ov course (they only had hotel & square)

Like most i got PH a couple of times the first few weeks of playing, didn`t play singleplayer much before i joined a multiplayer so i stumbled around some of the maps at first getting a lousy spm and more deaths than kills.

i think i have 3 to my bf2 career so far - and im not ashamed , i know i dont suck and just play the game how i want to play it ,....but sometimes theres nothing you can do if the enemy side is kicking your ass on the only flag you have left (i like to call it spawn camping)
i really hate these tossers that say 'oh i havent got one yet blah blah' as if there superior it just means either a) you were commanding b) you were flying or c) you quit early like a pussy ass bitch
oh and i agree that wake is the worst for ph, but then half the people that dont have it have never gone on wake island have they....or is it called karkand?!?!?!

I thought it was funny when the game first came out and everybody was trying to get it just to have it. In real war, its a really important medal. In BF2, its a joke. Showing that you neither had the forsight to leave a server and just accepted the ass raping you were dealt.

I use this site to see where I'm at, and maybe places I can improve....or kits I should try using more.....etc. But I sure as hell don't let my stats dictate how I play. Sometimes......I feel like being right in the sh*tstorm.....getting kills and being killed left and right. Sometimes.....I like to hide out, wait for long periods for that perfect kill that caught someone(s) really off guard. That doesn't lend itself to a high "score per minute"......but who cares?
So, what exactly is wrong with accepting the ass raping you were dealt? Just cause you left the server, doesn't mean you WEREN'T getting ass raped.........so you're still an assrapee.
