What would you prefer in BF2?

The present static SAM sites, or the quad barrelled ZU-23 AA guns we had in Desert Combat, or even a mix of the two?

The one advantage I can see with the guns is that they don't give jets or helis a lock on signal, so I don't imagine they would be popular with pilots.

The quad barrelled ZU-23 AA from DC would be nice as long the the overheating was kept sensable and it if would be able to target down far enough to be used on infantry and soft targets. However, the SAMs are just fine for me.

I don't really see it helping alot against jets, they are quite fast and although i've taken down my fair share of jets with the Essex miniguns it's quite hard, plus they would be too powerful against ground troops/vehicles i think..

All you need is a Hummer/Vodnik/Anything with a heavy mounted MG and hide it and blast away at the chopper and it should be down in no time. Improvised AA. Works quite well as long as the gunner doesn't see you (duh)

SAM's often don't help with jets as they're so damn fast that they're out of range by the time you lock on, or they bomb you.

The one other use the quads have is to spook a pilot more than anything else.  Though I do have memories of using the ZU to take out US snipers in El Alamein when they were near the radar station.
