I've just bought this new system:
XP HOME SP2
AMDFX60
ASUS - A8R32-MVP-DELUXE
Radeon X800GT02-256
2GIG OCZ platinum mem
Western Digital - WD740GD
PSU Antec - NeoHE-500
Creative X-Fi

When I get in-game after 2mins of playing the system freezes for 2 seconds then un freezes and then plays for 3 seconds. It does this continuously! and never stops. So I log out to the menu and I noticed that the video that plays in backgroud is also freezing in the same pattern, however the interface funtions without freezing. Weird!! I've updated all my drivers and searched the forums and no one seems to have my problem. I'm outta ideas... what do you guys think?  -> I've also tried switching to software for the sound , tried disabling the dual processor, manually updated punkbuster and tried lowering all the video settings to the lowest setting. Same problem!

"I've just bought this new system"
make sure there are no bios/via updates on the manufacture site.
stop any running processes that arent necessary. IE. virus scanner, adware services anything thats not needed by the system should be stopped really.

Thanks fer the hint! It was my Motherboard bios. I thought I had updated it when I first installed everything. But I checked it and sure enough it was old. Flashed the rom and now battlefield is running smooth as butter with all effects on.
Bunny out!
