I've looked up a bunch of the guns in BF2 on wikipedia, and they've done a very good job of rendering the weapons and having them up-to-date.  The SCAR-L, for example, looks EXACTLY like the real deal.  The L85A1 is one of the only unlocks I've encountered so far that seems better in the game than it is in real life.  Wikipedia made it sound like an outdated gun.

Anyways, about the P-90.  The video makes it sound like it fucking owns, with bullets that can pierce kevlar and futuristic ballistic protection that is not yet in use.  I'd love to be the guy who got to test out weilding a P-90 in each hand and firing them on full auto.  That looked fun.  However, if the P-90 were as good as it really is, you'd be getting fucked up real hard by Anti-Tank and crying about it.

And Hyper:
On the contrary, they seem to have put a lot of thought into the gun.  A shame that the video has some weird ass anouncer with an ambiguous accent though.  Maybe he's from the EU army?  ;o

Im no gun expert but 9mm parabellum does not go through armor but 28mm most certainly does as you can see P90 Takes both. And titanium beeing one of the hardest metals makes it pretty damn good for anti material use.
But I haven't heard that many SF use 28mm for obvious reason (recoil) and EA should add silencer to the fucking P90 as altfire option it would make it much better, I can fucking hear P90 at the end of map for god's sake.

The FN P90 submachine gun (SMG) was developed in the late 1980s as a defensive weapon for the troops whose primary activities does not include small arms - vehicle and tank crew members, artillery crews etc. Standart pistols and SMGs chambered for pistol rounds were proved ineffective against enemy soldiers, wearing armour (bulletproof) vests, so FN Herstal developed a new round with enhanced penetration - the SS190. This round looks like scaled downt 5.56mm NATO round and forces the pointed, steel core bullet to the 600-700 meters per second at the muzzle, thus being capable to defeat standard CRISAT helmets and armour vests at reasonable distances (50-100 meters).

CRISAT is made from 1.5mm titanium plating and 20 layers of Kevlar.

Also last year i saw a man who did a review of the ammo but he shot it from a Five-Seven pistol since it uses the same ammunition, and he was using the civilian version of the 5,7mm ammo since the SS190 is for military use only, but the civilian type ammunition still managed to punch holes into his old bulletproof vest he had when he was working as a police and just prior to shooting the vest with the Five-Seven he shot at it with his .44 Magnum and it didnt even penetrate 5 layers of kevlar on his vest which has a total of 34 layers of kevlar.
