Hi!

I've just been playing on a server which runs the Wake Air Show,wooohooo,that's an awful lot of fun and great practice for dogfighting.

I know there's already another thread about the dogfight day but I was too lazy to search.
And this thread here is just for people who don't know about what I'm talking about plus the guys who already were on Wake Air Show and really like it,like I do.

So,state your opinion on the map and the kinda new game the minimod makes out of BF2...

Just update your serverlist with the "ranked" box unmarked and then sort the servers by mapname,there are quite a few online.

There are some few drawbacks though,there is no helidogfighting because every jetpilot can't leave the heli in peace and the Eurofighter is nearly impossible to hit with missiles,I don't even know what all the fuss is about the J-10,at least it can be hit with missiles,the eurofighter doesn't.

So if the jetpilots could leave the chopperpilots alone there can maybe even be some helicombat-practice.

And it's unranked,so you leet kiddies don't have to worry about your precious stats.

ps: its only a 20 man server so it doesnt get hectic when full,,

Yeah, that was a good map. - It wasn't custom, it was called Coral Sea...it was added in a patch, I believe.

i loved that map
i would get on a arty by 1 of the ships and kill everything on the carrier
i had very good aim with those cannons
loved them
wish the planes had more power then i might of flown them some

awesome level, gets dull though after a few hours. i realised i better get some points heh

good fun though, and practice. gettin the j-10 is a bitch though. i only have done it twice. its nearly immpossible, only due to the fact that asshats keep bombing the field

Yeah,I'm one of those asshats,there's this nice fence on the field which is such a great bomb target...
And I like to mess up people's plans of being special,J-10s for everybody or nobody on that map.

And the only reason that it gets dull is because you can't have heli-dogfights on the servers because there's always one stubborn jetwhore who can't leave the choppers alone.

If people would be able to vote on heli only rounds occasionally and there would be an admin present to kick the scumbags who insist on a jet(or even the pen1s-colored J-10) after a nice warning there could be awesome chopper-fights.
Since there's no limit in terms of available choppers there could be 16 vs 16 attackheli-fights on a 64player server,just imagine,TV-missile after TV-missile chasing through the air,attack formations,etc...

If only I could go on the server at the perfect time when there are only chopperwhores around,that would be heaven.
