Knife hit to kiil ratio

I was looking at all the new stat stuff and noticed an interesting anomaly. How is it possible to have more kills that hits? (with a knife)

Well, as far as I can see you have 490 shots ("stabs"), 22 hits and 22 kills.

Seems fine with me

then that would mean more hits than kills, not more kills than hits

yes, i often hit a player once, then if i hit him again then he dies. so it could be possible to have more hits than kills, but same as WarmPudgy, i dont know how you could end up with more kills than hits.

It doesn't really take more than one hit to kill a player with the knife. The problem is that you just seem to hit him. You hear the sound of the impact, you see that little "dust-cloud", everything makes you think you hit him. But it doesn't register as a hit.

As far as I heard that's some issue with hitboxes.

Damn. As I already stated, you have 22 hits and 22 kills, so there's nothing unusual about that.

But this thread made me check my own stats on this and i found out I have 166 hits and 169 kills.
So maybe it is possible to kill multiple enemies with one strike of your knife?

I can imagine it happened in situations where I killed an enemy, a medic comes up to revive him and goes prone next to him. I just jump in there and start swinging my knife like crazy. In situations like these I see that i knifed both of them but i can't know if it was in just one of those shots or in two different ones.

Hmm... I might just go and try to find that out some time.

I love how you "strike" the guy and he only dies 1/3 times, the rest are just bullshit puffs of smoke.

I was not accusing anyone of any misdeed. As anyone can see I don’t use my knife very often. Also it is obvious that if you just stab the air, trees or vehicles it counts as a shot. But, if a Knife is a one shot kill, then again how can a person have more kills than hits? I am unaware of any two kills with one knife attack.

This would have never come up execpt for all the great changes here at BF2S.
