I noticed that you now add the road kills to the kills when determining your kill/death ratio. You didn't used to do that. The question arises, is it supposed to be? Some sites (bf2tracker, and now this one) add them before dividing, where as other sites (bf2player, paradroid, and used to be this one) just divide kills by deaths...i always understood that road kills were just part of the total kills listed, so my question is, which is right?

- Road kills now added into kills for K/D ratio?
I don't think road kills is right, say you are Anti Tank and you take a tank out. He runs away from the tank but still dies from the blast of it blowing up.
You get the kill but it says You [Tank] Him
That counts as a Tank road kill. Which now i think adds to your Tank K/D ratio. Which is wrong. Not all road kills are running someone over. Same as a jet. Technically, you could get a high K/D ratio in the jet by using the AA. Just like being AT against Armour.

i understand what it is, what i don't understand is why they are added to what i assume to be overall "kills" before divided by deaths...if i understand correctly "roadkills" are a subcategory of "kills", meaning that they are already included in the "kills" category...if you add them to "kills" again then you get an innacurate K:D ratio...i could be wrong though, that's why i'm asking...this is more geared toward chusky i think as to why he chose to do it that way...
anyone?
Kills include your road kills. I don't think it's possible to calculate ratio without roadkills unless you subtract them before dividing.

my k/d ratio for the plane is wrong, i used a calcualtor to find out the original k/d ratio which is 5.93 but on the GIBSON stats it says it is 6.32I made an executive decision -- afterall, why shouldn't road kills be counted as kills. Are they any less pain full for the fools who wander amidst my wrath? I think not.Teamsreth wrote:
@Zimmer92: I believe that the ratio now includes roadkills
if they are already counted in the global kills, why should they be reincluded ?
so you mean that other sites are couting those kills twice ? (once in global kills and once more when reincluded?)
ridiculous...

exactly what i was wondering...it's my understanding that global kills include roadkills already, but bf2s is now adding them in again on top of global kills...just confused-=raska=- wrote:

Road kills are NOT included in the "Kills" for that particular vehicle, they are separate. Chuy is correct.
Personally, as a Anti-Tank player I agree with Mekstizzle. A lot (most) of my road kills are in fact Anti-Tank kills. The exception might be with Helicopter, when people ram you that is counted as a road kill.
I have over 500 road kills with armour, and I can tell you I have certainly not run over that many people with a tank. Same goes for the 7 road kills with ground defense...

Well i want my roadkills counted into my ratio, sometimes i run over people while reloading or for fun
I do agree that some kills should not count as roadkills (shooting a tank and the explosion killing someone should get you an AT kill, not a tank roadkill).
