152?? That's like supergenius, and THA, you don't look too much like a supergenious bro.

I got mine from a shrink. My parents sent me there to... well, I'm not exactly sure why they sent me there. There was probably something seriously wrong though knowing me.
Anyway, she said it cost over 200 bucks to get one of the IQ test 'kits', but you can use them for a year before the IQ test place changes them. To take it cost me about $300 with just paying her for the hour long appointments it took to finish the damn thing.

Still, my parents and health insurance was paying so it dosn't really matter.

Edit: Look at that, I spelled Genius with an o. This is really the wrong thread to do that on, especially after skiting about my oh so brilliant 124 IQ.

Einstein was rumoured to be about 160.... yet some claim 200... Just to put genius in there.

Newton was a 190, Leibniz (the "other" calculus dude) a 195.

But balanced out with the Flynn effect of inflating IQ scores, their "adjusted" IQ's would be in the high 150-160 range...within the same standard deviation as the_heart_attack, in other words.

Oh, I'm sorry.  Did that smack of condescension or skepticism?

A. How much do they cost?
B. Where can I get it (since you're in the same city)?
was a few years ago now.

but i got it done when i was seeing a counsellor to try to stop my bad road rage (tuggers parkway in peak hour, you understand)

cant remember how much, wasnt much though.

i think most counsellors do it.

Not with highiqsociety (of which I might be a member )

Get over 124 and you get the free detailed results.

I reckon, though, they need a test for wittiness (e.g. the ability to make a good comeback, get out of a tricky spot etc.), cos I know some dumb tards who are rather witty.

I have scored a 155, but I too believe like some of you that so called 'IQ' tests are irrelevant and pointless. For a 'IQ' test to be comparative, which is it's inherent function, everyone should take the same test. Otherwise there is more than one independant variable, and the test is no longer fair and accurate. I know that I am 'clever', some may say 'gifted', but I do not care much for these 'office politics' ideas. I do what I feel is right, and I think what I feel. And so is my life of philosophy and regret.
Always nice to discuss something,
Raven

EDIT: By the way, some of you may be interested to know that I am only 14.

Oh, and spelling is no sign of 'IQ' as it were, if 'IQ' even exists. 'IQ' tests a bit of human nature, bit relies a lot on learning principles, such as those learned in school. I believe (as posted above) that 'IQ' is impracticle and pointless.

Alrite, I done the high iq society test

result: 125
I took a screeny too.(ill post it up when i resize it)

Not that im hugely proud of what i got, but i recon that it is a scam. If dumb fucks get over 124 (like me ) then they will pay for membership and get their little certificate and think ,"I am so smrt!". I think the real test is to see if you are dumb enough to buy their membership.

These tests are all so pathetic. There are so many variables like spread, weight and method to take into account that giving just a number is completely pointless. Even more pointless are the scores from internet tests, as all of them have links to buying "diplomas" or "extended statistics" and never actually spit out low IQs. I've tried quite a few with completely random answers several times over and not once have I gotten less than 110.

I got a 66 on the ASVAB the first time I took it in July 2001. My GT was 113, so it was high enough to secure the MOS I wanted. I had been sitting in San Jose MEPS for 11 hours waiting to take the computerized version. Then I was answering some mathematical related questions and realized there was no way to go back and change my answer. Lameness... I re-took the ASVAB (pencil and paper version) in 2004 to see if I could re-enlist. I scored higher.

I actually don't test well and never have. Which is why I've never taken the SAT or ACT. The only standardized test I took during school was the STAR. (http://star.cde.ca.gov/)

I took an internet IQ test once upon a time. I took it multiple times so I could find an average score. Average was 135.

IQ tests seem to measure the ability to recognize patters and reason things through with logic.

I scored a 36 on the ACT (funny thing was all the science and reading and whatnot were things I did on my vacation, watched a TV program on the night before, or read a book over).  It was a pre-calculator test.  1996.
So that got college paid for.  But I quit because it was boring.

I also recently took the Mensa test about a month ago and passed just to see if I could.

Yeah, yeah, so I'm smart.  Big deal.

I can connect the dots.  Yay......

I think those high scores have people expect too much or extraordinary things out of you.
I'd rather be a regular guy with a normal life, I don't want to find the cure for cancer, or build the better mousetrap.  I might start working on real X-ray glasses to see through women's clothes, but I have to have a weekend off first.

Ahhh the ole ASVAB.  If I remeber correctly I scored (it's been awhile) in the high 90's.  I did pretty good in all the fields except for "Administrative", which was cool because being a paper pusher probably sucks anyways.

I also took a online IQ test a while back and scored a 147 or some crap, but I don't think that it was entirely accurate because right after I took the test I cut my hand open on a can of green beans I was trying to open with a butter knife.

The straight IQ score is usually not very informative, as the scoring systems for different IQ tests are not interchangable. The percentile rank is what is important, as that is how you as an individual compare to the rest of the test takers. Unfortunately most internet IQ tests are pretty unreliable and dont give you a percentile rank, but what're you gonna do. I took the Weschler wisc-3 IQ test when I was 12 and scored 132, which apparently puts me in the 98.5th percentile. I certainly don't feel that smart most of the time, but as other people have pointed out IQ scores aren't everything.

And that highiqsociety IQ test is not accurate. I took it and got as many things as I could wrong on purpose, and it still gave me an IQ of over 100.
