Ok.

A good gunner and a good pilot should score high in any map with the attack chopper, provided they can get the chopper. I chopper whore yes. Frankly because I cant be arsed walking/driving around the big maps. Sometimes on wake I will go infantry, but only if USMC (I hate USMC so I dont play as them) manage to get a base on land and hold it instead of giving it back after 2 seconds.

Anyway, I had a fairly average score of 103 and got gold medal on wake round 1. Round 2 I got 4th just with infantry.

Next - Oman, 70 kills is the most I've got on that map. Anyway I get the chopper with this good pilot and I'm on about 20 kills until this =FU= clan start trying to take it after we died. about 10 tk's later, m95 headshots and one kick later I'm off the server writing this.

The clan people did get teh chopper, got about 2 kills and died, repeat. I asked them to let us fly as we were probably gonna get gold and silver but they carried on TK'ing for it.

Then I got in and to finish me off they all stood around the chopper whilst one guy drove a jeep straight into me killing us all and 3 punishes and i was banned.

If two people are owning all round, I wont be the 3rd man trying to get in the chopper. Leave em to it I say. Dont ruin things for them. Get a tank, jeep or walk but go and contribute.

PS. Is it me or are people incredibly stupid? 9 Guys were waiting for the chopper to spawn on Wake..despite the airfield being neutral. Idiots. Instead of waiting too, i went off to find who was taking it - one guy who i promptly shot in the head and took the flag back

I'm not saying I own the chopper - I own in the chopper -

But can you see what I mean? Good chopper team on wake will completely stop the USMC getting on land. Noob team will fly to the carrier and get shot down by essex. Noob team will crash when taking off. Good team will get gold and silver. Noob team will get 0 kills 10 deaths and 31st and 32nd.

Yeah - I hear you.. I wouldn't want to be the guy jumping into a chopper that two guys have been owning with.. All of a sudden teammates are like: wtf happened to our chopper, why did it suddenly suck?!

Nah - if I can get it in the beginning I'll have a go - but trying to outstage someone who knows their shit is just stupid..

Same with other hardware really - lets say I was wreacking havoc on the enemy in APC on Karkand, and then some asshat comes and takes it.. Sure, I couldn't care less - but it is aggravating to see the guy driving into a wall and start shooting at one sniper and blatantly ignore enemy tanks/AT/TOW etc...

but then again - I'm different from everyone else - thankgod!

its not a clan match mate, its a public.
If the chopper is free and I fancy a bash I'll take it, if theres 7 other people jumping about throwing medi-kits/ammo bags at each others face on the helipad I wont bother.
If Im on a public server with no one I know and I team up with some random in the chopper, whether we suck or we rock I always offer to swap positions after we are killed.
Or if we are killed and someone else is on the helipad clearly wanting a turn, ill bugger off in a Vodnik....or cover them from the Vodnik while they take off cos theres always the other sides chopper trying to stop them getting off the ground.
Maybe its just me?

Simple its not your chopper. Just because your better then an other does not give the right to have it. Play proffesionally, dont just go Tking with m95 im sure thats not fun, especially when you get kicked for it.

That's fine. I think it's the thing with his own team which kept TK'ing him for the chopper that's getting him upset. Particularly that finisher of being rammed with a jeep. That'd piss me off.

Just some points:

1) Teamkilling people intentionally is poor and idiotic.
2) "1st come 1st serve" regarding vehicles.
3) Medals don't help the team at all.
4) If there are good pilots on the enemy team then we urgently need good pilots too.
5) Best rounds are balanced rounds. I hate being owned! I also hate rounds in wich my team owns completely. No challenge no fun. E.g. The pilots do all the work and 90% of the team has nothing to do and has to idle.

What i don't get is y 2 guys will be waiting for the chopper to spawn and like 10 guys run over thinking they ALL will get it. that still baffles me. if 2 people are waiting wait your turn dam.

I guess I wouldn't be in your way or any other WHORE's way since I am an infantry player.
However, plz its a game and people play to have fun, and as PEOPLE suggests, there are multiple amounts of human beings enjoying the game.
Again, unless you are in a tournament and have a distinctive role in your team, do not whore the vehicles, let others have the vehicles after a while.

They should just put an amusement park-style ride queue in place for the choppers, armor and jets. Want to ride, get in the line. You die, you can get back in line.

"First come first serve" is a terrible rule for waiting in line for any vehicle. "Survival of the Fittest" is the best possible way to fight it out. Whoever lasts through the teamkills, forced teamkills, punishes and kicks will prevail and put the gunner out of bounds so his ownage partner can get in. This is always the case on my personal chopper server "24/7 Sharqi - Insomnia365".

I personally will do anything in my power to get the chopper that I want and deserve because I wouldn't be allowed to if it's that bad...

Bottom line: If you get in and stay in, you deserve it and no one else does.

I hear you man. Personally I think it's rude and a total waste of time to wait for a vehicle that's in use. With the exception of knowing that the person using it is completely useless and would better serve the team by idling and not dying. Every time I join a server I hit caps to see what's in use. If I see both the jets in the air I'm not going to spawn and wait for one. It's a dick move and a waste of time. Instead of going to idle and wait for a vehicle to spawn that someone else is using and will probably come back to use again, just find something else to do... you don't HAVE to have a chopper and if the server is becoming infested with morons that just want to whore the chopper and that's all you want to do too... just leave. It's not worth fighting with them, and believe me there are plenty of jerkoffs in this game to fight with.

I don't teamkill for vehicles as a general rule. The only thing that pisses me off is when our team is losing horribly, me and my gunner are the last and only hope for any kind of victory, and when I come back to the pad to rearm/repair I see asshat1 and asshat2 sitting around waiting for it to respawn. Thats two people (or more) on the team doing nothing while we lose.

You gotta love that if you play Wake for example and you see the chopper taking off high.

10 Secs later the Heli is back at the carrier and mine. ^^
The only thing why I dont have the heli badge is I never make the time IAR... because someone always pilots with no skill.
Last time I had the heli the "jet pilot" tked me 3 times because he mistook me for an enemy heli...
I usually dont even try to get the heli anymore, either you get a shitty gunner or the soon you get shot down someone else was camping it and you are a sitting duck on the carrier.

On a sidenote.. dont you love it when a tank hauls around the corner and you hover exactly perfect for the tv guided,but see your gunner aiming totally in the other direction killing some infantry.
And its ALWAYS times like those when all my rockets are reloading.... XD

Heh skruples you forgot asshat no3 constantly voting for commander mutiny, while laying next to him just to get the job/2x points.

You're making a classic mistake. The object of BF2 isnt to win. Theres no bonus for winning, if you havnt noticed. The object is to get points, and you're stopping others (on your team) by using the heli constantly.
