lol, let the "USE THE SEARCH" rip.

Anyway... this topic is for posting your idea of a good map. Like this example.

1. Teams: PLA vs US

2. Setting: Urban Combat

3. Kinds of vehicles: Jeeps only

4. Basic description: A large urban map, like Karkand, with no tanks. It is PLA vs. US. There are many alleyways that can be used. This map is a sniper's dream, as he can drop claymores into the many alleyways.

Sounds bland, but you get the point...

1. teams: U.S. vs MEC
2. setting: supermarket
3. kind of vehicles: shopping carts
4. basic description: a large supermarket, like shoprite, with no tanks. it is U.S. vs. MEC. there are many aisles that can be used. this map is an engineers dream, as he can drop mines into the many aisles.

"Claymores are aisle 3, on your right."

Tank wars in the parking lot, and infantry fights inside. I think it could be fun. The Walmart Security clan will finally have a map to chill on.

I like the idea of completely indoor maps too. Maybe a large governmental building, with long corridors and interconnected side rooms, flags in larger rooms and balconies. No vehicles. With the indestructable friend or foe detecting mini-nuclear claymores it might be kind of tough to make any solid advances, but it would be worth a try. Theres also the issue of commander assets, as in where would you put them, and where would you drop supply boxes if theres a roof over everyones head.

I've always wanted to make a subway station map. It may sound too counter striky for BF2, but I think there could be some nice infantry fights underground, while the tanks duke it out on ground level. Half of the flags will be above ground, and the rest underground (only accessible by foot).

Also I like maps where there is one key flag that can be taken down quickly. Example, the central chopper flag on wetlands, or Wake's airfield. It makes for intense battles, and can shift the outcome of the game in a matter of seconds. In this case, there would be one tank spawn in the middle, so both teams would rush it.

Well, I stand by it. I think it would be interesting to have an infantry only map, even if it was outside.

I wouldn't mind a WWI-style trench battle.

You get 3 lines of trenches per team, US v. MEC (each one is a flag). There about 50m apart.

To cap the flag just stand in the trench. There are ramps to enter/exit
The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

I like the subway idea, but I would want small moving trains in the underground.

1. MEC Vs PLA
2. Mountain Region (Remote Village and its surroundings)
3. No vehicles (no air assets as well, due to low cloud cover)
4. Both sides struggle for control of a strategic village located high in the mountains as it is an ideal base to command the valleys below.

1. Teams: PLASF vs SAS

2. Setting: Jungle Combat

3. Kinds of vehicles: Hand Gliders, Stationary lights, Stationary turrets.

It is PLASF vs. SAS. Its pitch black, with no lights what so ever, and set in a deeply coverd forest bunker compound, Night Vision is essential to survive in this map, as well as crawling to avoid being spotted by the stationary lights the PLASF can use to spot you with ease, The PLASF have to defend the compound while the SAS have to find a way in through the various secret entrances. Snipers will duke it out on the fothills of the forest while assault people will rush in and out of the compoud trying to secure the flags.

i wuld like a few diffrent maps
1.
a/US vs MEC
b/big huge open map that has alot of cover and depressions for tanks to hide in
c/atleast 6 tanks and 5 APCs per team
d/each team gets 1 bomber 1 fighter and 1 ground support aircraft(aka SU25 and A10)
e/each team has 2 AA viechals and no other AA sites on the map
f/throw in a bunch of transports and other armor at the capable bases
g/each team gets 1 main base
h/have it take around a valley and u have to attack the 2 bridges on the map
i/around each bridge is a small town(kinda like mastaur city)

if u didnt notice this is pretty close to the mastaur city that was supposed to be put in the game
with uncap bases more viechals and bombers
when u load up mastaur city 64 player verision look at the map and notice how over 3/4 of it is not used
this is the video that i bought the game for
would of been a great map
combining city and air and viechal combat all together
