Ok so heres the story. Just formatted my computer, updated my Win XP to where it was last time. Used the same motherboard drivers and the same vid drivers(ones off the BF2 Cd) and everytime I open BF2, it does the splash, then 2 diff shaded black screens pauses for a min like its going to go into the vid but then crashes to desktop with no error. Any suggestions?
right click your Bf2 icon go to proparties Look for line where it ses target
u should see sumthing like this
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1"
change full screen to 0 or if its 0 change it to one This should load up BF2 in half screen Join server when you crash it will give you error message take a screen shot and Put it here so I can see whats the problem is ?

try Changing your screen resolution, are your trying to run BF2 on widescreen by the any chance?
Change screen resolution see if that helps ?

Well that gave me the same error, but then i realised when i recopied over My docs after the format it still had my old bf2 folder in there, i moved it and its workin now. The whole resolution thing reminded me, thx.
