You ever heard of the no revive 'glitch'? It happens a lot. Mostly when you die near a building or on stairs. If a medic tried 8 times, that's possibly the answer. No one is that stupid.

Classic stuff! I love how people are completely helpless in the water... you can wait for them to n e a r l y get to shore and then smoke them at the last possible second. Got the pilot and his gunner from an attack chopper once that way, boy did that feel good after they decimated the entire landing force nearly singlehanded.
