BF2S Forums does anyone actually like boats

no there death traps just like the transport chopers... but the firepower is a little better if your not moving so that you can aim.

Boats are fun, even if they are death traps! Although after the chopper nerf, I sometimes think they are safer than using a black hawk...

Going down the river as China on Fushee Pass is a must-do in this game. Push F12 just as you go over one of the dams for the "cinematic" view.

Also, the ERYX -> RIB combination are probably my favourite way of killing. Gotta love a good boat kill.

on the other hand, jet skis are really fun, as are their land equivalents

it would be cool to have boats like the coast guard has instead of those 1 shot ribs.
All you do put some BBQ on them and they are gone.
EA you really know how to make game fun, what's next in your booster pack this perhaps ?

well maybe not so much, but if you know how to use a boat on a specific map (i.e. Wake, Dalian Plant) you can get some good kills


try getting into one as MECSF on "Iron Gator" and you'll see what i'm talking about

i once got 30 kills before dying that way

I do know how to use the choppers...  but 90% of the time 3seconds after you take off a plane blows you out of the sky.  I think I have a better survival rate when flying than most of the black hawk pilots on wake.  I have also shot down a lot of them with the mounted gun of a jeep.   The only map that the transport choppers don't get blown up is Mashtuur City and Songhua Stalemate, both have fog so that you can't see them if there more than 200ft up and no planes.  No offence taken.   High mobile spawn point is the best way to use them since they nerfed the splash for the BH's gun, Halo jump from 400ft.

The boats are fun to drive off the dams on Fushe Pass.

I think the boats are good for what they are for... getting around the map while in the water! It can give you an advantage ie... finding a great place to snipe without being seen.

I think they should put some kind of gun on the jet ski or make it possible to drive one-handed and use a gun. That way there would be more h2o fights. I suppose ghost town 64 would be good for that... two flags on the islands.
