I really wish they could show stats of your kills in regards to what was armor and what was infantry.

I've established a reputation in my clan for being able to win against armor. Though I mostly play Karkand because my clan runs a 24/7 Karkand so my stats shouldn't be taken all that seriously. Though spawn camping with vehicles is not permitted in our server. lol so many noobs cry about that one when we kick them

I get more satisfaction after taking out a tank.

Well, there is a big difference between someone who sits at a spawn point by himself simply to rack up kills and someone who uses armor to spawn rape (give defensive cover) while their teammates bring down a flag.

btw, i'm the first one... that's why i only have a 3:1 K/D instead of a "true tank whore's" 5 or better

I feel the same way as you and also only have a 3:1-ish K/D ratio. A good armor user will take out the other armor before attacking infantry, because that not only keeps you safe, but makes it easier on your teammates...

Yup,I really miss the awesomely skilled tank-drivers of BF1942,guys who always take engineer and could totally dominate a spawn point.When such guy in a Tiger rolled up in BF1942 you really got kinda scared like the Russians who encountered it in real life,ok,maybe not that scared,but you knew you were pretty much helpless.

Karkand spawn rapers are just pussies who look for easy kills,they are not the true tanker,easy to recognize on the missing wrench icon above the tank.Unfortunately these are mostly the guys with the highest k/d-ratio,because they are picking on helpless(medics,support,sniper)and sometimes even unaware enemies(spawnraping,the spawn-and-die effect).That's why the k/d-ratio doesn't mean sh*t,it doesn't tell anything about playing style or what extremely dumb noobs your victims were.

Real tankers are people who look for enemy tanks as their main target,have great experience in maneuvering the tank,use "Blitzkrieg"-tactics like the Wehrmacht(mobility!!!) to cut off important flags(Train Accident in Karkand for example,if the flag is taken at the start of the round by a quickly advancing tank and apc the MEC have a big problem!) and take and hold ground until the infantry takes the flag.

The perfect tanker should love Operation Smoke Screen or Songhua Stalemate and definitely team up with other engineers to repair each others tank,this way the repair points keep coming all the time and the tanks become virtually indestructable.
On Smoke Screen there are sometimes convoys of tanks and in every one is an engineer,an indestructable snake of steel which unstoppably comes your way.
Unless you are anti-tank,spec ops,engineer or in a tank yourself there's not much you can do to defend a flag against this force.

So basically I don't judge people by their stats,if I see them in action and they rock the house in a tank I'll definitely remember the player's name,but I'm not digging through someone's stats to find out who accumulated the most kills via spawnraping.

getting behind the armour at the first flag on kark. isnt easy to do. It doesnt help when mec engies drop mines at the entrance not allowing you to go anywere. I try to protect troops going to hotel flag, then once we have it, the mec tank and apc are easier to destroy.

I personally hate any kind of armored vehicle at Karkand. IMO they ruined a potentially great infantry map by adding armor. There's just so much you can't do when explosive tank shells are lodged up your ass.

and i agree with you about adding armor.  That would be an awesome map if they took that away, then it'd be easy to tell who the true infantry players are. rather than seeing who's a better spawn raper

yeah, i'll admit, i did spawn rape at Karkand once, but after that one time i lost the appeal of it... i mean, how is that fun? i'd rather run around filling people with my PKM lead than sit back and shoot random tank shells and kill people

That would classify as NOT being a tank whore, right? he's strategically helping his team by covering flag caps and defending soft-skinned targets from armor

I figure if I can get to them first, I'll beat them when i'm in a tank. 95% of the time this works.

As long as you know where their tank is, and can look on your minimap to see if anyone is in the TOW that's near you, you should be fine.

in terms of what I keep a look out for first: Tank > TOW > Spec Ops > AT guys

that's a good strategy... mine looks more like:

Tank > AT guys >Spec Ops > TOW

i do that b/c that's the order of how often they kill me (highest to lowest if you couldn't figure it out)
