SHIT! I WANT I WANT!!

Kinda sucks only having four classes, but this new mode, sounds pretty cool,

HIGH TECH 1942 CARRIER BATTLES!! WOOT!

I will be happy as long as it has unlocks and a ranking system plus awards, thats what makes battlefield so great, It has a standard ranking system, unlike CS, which is more of, best player in the server

I am not a point/stat whore, I just like being noticed

Drone thing sounds good, but lets hope it doesnt get unbalanced

Sounds like there will be an addon expansion pack too, I hope there will be ziplines and stuff!

sounds cool thats for shure, but in the other hand its like 1500 ways to fuck up your acount.. i still remember the g3 as my first unlock.. i never use that thing. if it is kind of WoW thing.. unlock decision would be harder.

When they say 1,500, they include vehicles.

That means you can have a certain weapon config, and be in one of 12+ vehicles.

So divide 1,500 by 13 (for example) and you get your total ammount of ground configs.

this game is heavily influenced by americans consumer, and american consumers want to have the option of having everything. just like in bf2 i bet that in bf2142 will allow you to eventually have every unlockable item/equipment.

Wow those that are in squads will receive more points. That idea sounds familiar. The cloaking devise is going to make getting the knife badge, if there is one in 2142, interesting. To bad there isn't going to be a sniping kit. Sounds interesting I might get it. This game reminds of C&C:Renegade but without the tiberium.

Awww man, now I cant wait, at first I opposed 2142, but this has made me change

Its working on the Bf2 engine, so anyone that can run Bf2 can run this, right? Or will I have to fork out money?

I am so getting this when it comes out, (Going to go firestorm on your ass)

And If by some freakish chance I get to number one in a brief moment, I will take so many screen shots that half my hard drive will be filled with it

I... I don't know what to say... I am actually looking forward to the release of this game. Furthermore it may well coincide with me getting a new computer, (I know I say that every year.)
Four classes shouldn't be a problem - when you can customize your own weapons, classes won't matter all that much anyway. You want to be a Sniper? Fine! Add a scope and a whole lot of nifty stuff and make yourself a kick-arse Sniper Rifle, (I know I will be.)

Having shit-loads of unlocks as you put it Saark will be awesome, as long as you get a couple of unlocks per rank, so you can form combinations etc. and find a gun that suits you.

Bring on 2142!

first I opposed 2142 (not like they ask me but anyway we can dream), but also this make me change.

That's a lot to chew on, but we have some time before Battlefield 2142 is scheduled for release, sometime this winter. /

Well, that's somewhat good. This reminds me of when all the BF2 reviews started coming in and everyone said it will be the best game ever, until hundreds of complaints a day after release...

by the way I have some information that will benefit us all... unless you already know.

Okay, so EA and DICE say that there are only four classes now - boo hoo - BUT with each class there are two kits to choose from.
Classes Kits, (equivilant in Bf2.)
Recon Spec Ops.
Sniper
Assault Assault
Support
Support Medic
Engineer
Anti-Veichle Anti-Tank
Anti-Air

So realisticly we get a new kit.

Edit: Looking at the screenshots, Id say this is going to be the end of iron sights, Hell Ill wager that even the pistol has some sort of zoomer/pointer

Ah common guys. You all know EA would never implement all those features. They can't make the deadline and throw away all the cool ideas. Thus leaving Bf2142 as a standard Bf2 game, but with other vehicles and weapons.

If I want a futuristic game like this one, I'll buy Halo 5 or something.
