i was just playing on CantStopGaming Server and i got 94 points 44 team 25 kills. At the end of the round it loaded the next map and right when i was about to choose my kit i got kicked and it said this exactly...... "has been permanently banned from this Game Server via Punkbuster...Global punkbuster HARDWARE BAN d1ae97b8" I expect flames but in all honesty i have never cheated in any game cuz its lame and why did it let me play the entire game and then kick me? and why did it let me in the first entire round? was this just a joke by the server admins who have never seen anyone get over 90 points ??? And wtf is a hardware ban. That just doesnt even make sense. Hacks are software not hardware. Do i have an illegal gfx card? i mean thast just lame.
hmm..can you play in other servers? if you cant then obviously the guy wasnt kidding..

wow then i suggest any payer who gets high points dont play there because that was very lame and iwasnt doing anyhting fancy either. Just capping flags and reviving and killing. An ya i just checked and i got into another server. So for future references. CantStopGaming server is awful and dont play there k thanks.
I would just make sure that you are still able to play on other ranked servers. If you are than it was just a custom message one of the admins sent to you when they kicked/banned you from the server. There are always better servers to play on.

I don't think the admins had anything to do with this. We have a DC Lost Village server, and some of our clan members got kicked saying they got a hardware ban. Some fuck up on Even Balance's side. This has been happening to many non-clan members too. Something must be wrong with Punk Buster.
I think is possible for a server to use punkbuster's hardware hash to ban you PC from connecting to the server. I had problems from punkbuster before (reinstalled the game), but I would not worry about it unless it happens more than once aside from liking the server. The quote was not a reason why you were banned but how they banned you... it seems harsh to put in a hardware ban with out giving a reason. Did you get one of the Popup black explanation box?
I'm not definite, but I think by "hardware ban" they are referring to the CD and the associated CD key (or DVD). A "software ban" would just limit your account name but could be circumvented by creating another account and logging back in. Software bans are usually for excessive TKing but hardware bans are used on cheaters.
well everything im using is legit i purchased the game have never hacked or d/l any. So im pretty sure its just a server with childish admins.

My clanmate send an e-mail to even balance about being HW banned, and here is part of the response he got:
"There was an issue with false HW bans, they should be gone. I would give anyone kicked the benifit of the doubt."

Well..i got HW ban also, same shit, except mine has not been lifted....what did you do to be able to play again? Did you contact Evenbalance or was it just lifted? I sent a ticket to them and never got a reply.....9 days ago.

hardware ban has nothing to do with dodgey hardware, means you're banned by hardware guids
