I was looking into getting a joystick (from posts it seems that the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro was one everyone liked, so I was going to buy that one) and was wondering if while that is plugged in does the mouse still work at the same time? Thanks guys.
Yes, the mouse will still work.
Thanks!
Err. Died fast eh this thread?
UNLESS YOU DELETE THE FUNCTION FOR MOUSE CONTROLS IN Airplane settings
after I hooked up my CYBORG EVO (strongly reccomend purchasing this one) when I played with the mouse still working I would bump the pad and my plane would bounce with it ... uncontrollable movements, so I disabled their functions and now JUST THE STICK moves the plane and its so much better!

Yeah, I recently got the Cyborg Evo as well.. Very nice joystick... just need to get a little more practice playing on empty maps before I use it over KB/Mouse..
I go mouse and keyboard just because I don't feel like sucking for 1-2 weeks while I get used to my joystick. But yeah, LE 3d Pro is the way to go, I have it and I don't use it, but it's still good. (don't use it because of the reason above.^)
Wow, I misunderstood the whole post.. Yeah - Logitech extreme 3d pro is USB... and yeah the mouse works

do you mean be able to fly a plane with the stick and the mouse at the same time? (as in jump back and forth between the two)OMG-AIDS wrote:

Not sure if its just me, but I am only able to "fly" a plane with one or the other. the mouse does still work for everything else though (choppers, vehicles, infantry... etc) as in if you assign your flight controls in BF2 to work with the stick, thats all you can use for that specific vehicle. (thats how it is for me anyway)
I have the Cyborg Evo Force.
