me and my clan once went on boats_racing map on our unranked server, turned off FF and got 10 of our clanmates. we all C4 1 car, drove it off a ramp on other things, BOOM!

Currently I have a site that I go to that isn't really a clan, it's just some guys that get together and play...........only problem is I hardly see any of them playing anymore.

clans are just a little too hardcore for me. i fly solo muthafuckaaaaaa. haha, but i would play with all you bf2s people as a clan anyday.
my clan never pracitices, we are undefeated in CAL right now. we basically screw around for hours on the weekend(our server mostly). im the only clan member under 18. but they dont care as long as im not a fucktard, (which im not)

You get to use teamwork with your members.
You get a server you can always play on.
You get to play in tournaments, and get to know lots of other battlefield players
::Bad Things::
There is always thoes few members that you hate.
You cant do whatever you want because you have to keep the other players in line
You cant kick the moron members.
But overall, i think a clan makes battlefield 2, more fun to play.

I wish I could be in a clan but I just can't dedicate time to the game. When I have time to play I do, but if work or the girlfriend come in the way the game goes to the back of my mind.

Im a admin for the clan im in.
I'm not in a clan simply because I tried that with counterstrike source and I had a bad expierence in which my clan didn't follow any rules the clan leader stated. There is just so much involved with a clan that I'd rather sign in and play when ever I wanted and not be forced to play at a specific time. I thought about joining a clan but then I would have to play this game more and it would just end up getting boring. I'm a loner I guess and there has to be a lot of money involed for me to even think about joining one. My computer is ok but I need more ram (512 currently ), so that is one that is holding me back rigt now. I plan on upgrading to 2 gigs this summer. After that I will see.
Played Quake3, RTCW and Enemy Territory in leagues/ladders. It takes away from real life but when it all clicks its alot of fun. We tag up for BF2 but dont compete. Pubs for fun and no pressure.

Sorta...Yes and no. My old clans have all been either: not my kinda peeps, totally boring and dead players, or just inactive.

The weird thing is I want a clan that's not quite a clan, but not just a community. Like no scrims, CAL, TWL, all that. Just a clan that plays together, just for the fun, but still IS a clan.

Actually, I'd like to be in a clan, I was in the process of joining one, but realized they sucked real bad.
I think the key is friendship and a gaming community to hang with. Been with this crew for 6+ years and although we have competed in the past its mainly just staying connected to whats out there. Playing the latest games together, some more then others and just having online buds that share the same interests.....games!

I voted no because I am NOT in a BF2 clan. However I've been in the same Call of Duty UO/CoD2 (when it came out) clan for the past year. We're not the best, but we're still pretty good and have a large variety of players.
Im in a relaxed community Crap they play whenever. We have a clan part and a community part. Problem is we just starting out. Its civilized and kept in order, no asshatry, don't know about other clans/communities, but we have rules to follow for admins and players. I used to be like usmarine; I saw a clan - I purposely tried to make them hate me. But got bored of that. Couldn't find a decent Squad, so I decided to look. And met some cool people, to never see them again when I wasn't in a community. A community is more than just playing games, its having fun. Our group mainly are people that play that are regulars; we only scrim when asked, we don't go out looking for matches. And hell, what heck is a practice?!! Isn't it just playing and having fun??

Yeh I like being in clans that dont do that TWL, CAL, timed practices, crappy tryouts, and all that shit. Its hard for me to find a clan though but I found one.

been with the same guys for over 2 years, been through a few name changes but still strong. we play for fun but take it seriously, i guess its somewhere in between really serious and just for fun which works for most of us. teamwork in matches are the best thing, although lack of teamwork and losing seems to happen too often. clan is aged 16 to 50 odd and we all get along fine.
i'm not in a clan.. i'm more of a mercenary..
if a clan needs an extra.. and its a time when I WANT TO PLAY.. not when they tell me..
