not the best poll, i know. i chose not to add more cause it doesent happens to often.

Please say the reaction people gave, and how you felt


i done it 2 times, once vs a arogant f-35 in wake, he told me "you still suck"
and just now in kubra, he sayd something in a language i dont understand....

both times felt so good :-)

olso, if you have any tips (for people who already can tv-guide(solo), say them

my tip: aim at the bottom of the plane, then it hits more often (unranked/before the game begins anyway)

I've done it 56 times so far (I count, sad I know), all flying solo. I have problems with the F-35 though. 97% of my shots on it just go through, but J-10s, MiGs, etc. are all kind of easy to hit compared, because they've got more to hit underneath. Cockpit or wing = invisible plane. Hitting bombers from behind and chasing them is a lot of fun.

I hate it when the shots go through because you've practically killed them fair and square once, so it pisses me off a lot. Especially when they turn back and shoot you down.

on the post above this one: its cause of lag, you see it hit but they where not there, it sucks i know, otherwise evryone would have got at least 1000ths of it ;-)

Yeah, but for me it happens almost always with F-35s, so I blame them. It's all their fault.

dude, how can aa save you if there is a plane coming head on full speed to you??? flares dont help vs m-gun... and if thats wasting time, why do you play bf2? to be better then a 13year old kid you dont even know? its FUN to do.... hard but fun when you hit :-)

It's not as difficult as some people might think.  I'm sure it would happen much more often if people actually realized it's not a daunting a feat as it's made out to be, but the general consensus would appear to be, "Why waste time trying to TV missle a jet?"

It was even more common before the patch as the TV missles had a longer range, and you had more time to catch up to the jet.

I would say that the "easy-ness" comes from the fact that lots of jet pilots rely to heavily on the missles, and if they're semi-determined to bring you down, they typically end up flyin' straight towards you shooting all their missles.  So, basically, you just have to wait for them to make their pass at you, and it's usually a straight-away shot straight into the plane.

I think using the rockets to bring down jets is quite a bit more challenging as there's quite a bit of prediction you're having to do, and it's progressively more difficult the further away/faster the jet is flying.

I don't do the chopper on any map other than sharqi In fact, I hardly play any map other than sharqi, and when I do I try to sharpen my plane skills or command.

on a more serious note, *cougH*, when im going solo (which inandof itself is a rarity), i manage to get a nice hover, but when i switch, the helo spasms and Im forced to switch into the pilots to recover the bird.

My Pilot and I watched the missle go right over the wing next to the fuselage.  No time to move it that little fraction to make it hit.    When I first started, I never thought about trying to do that until I read somewhere else that people were doing it.

I was actually starting to take then down quite frequently with rockets before 1.2. Haven't done is nearly as much since they switched it to 8. I actually tk'ed a friendly jet the other day with rockets. I was shooting at the enemy chopper, he zooms in front of me and gets hit twice. He punished, I laughed cuz it was wicked funny.

As far as tv'ing jets, maybe 10-20 times and only 2 or 3 when flying solo. I don't get to gun much.

I managed to TV a jet 1 time. I nailed an F-35b in hover over a flag.

I've only managed 6 - and none since the patch reduced the range of the TVs.

All bombers who's pilots decide that instead of making 2 passes, going REAAAAAL slow to make one pass will be more effective. I THINK NOT.

I have only hit 3 before but all three where f-35's and One was  trying to shoot me down and slowed down comming at me he called me a ass and then d/c'd the other two then once i tried to shoot a full blackhawk and the jet flew into my tv. Another one was when well he ran into me as i shot we killed each other. There is like alot more but i killed people as they took off not really when they were in the air
