I no longer play as lone wolf really i make a squad and lock it so i don't get team switch a few days ago i was in a awsome sniper spot the whole round then a heli comes and killes me and i get team switched
I like lone wolf as much as squads but sometimes a good ole fashioned one man band is the way to go cause you don't have to leave a prime spot to keep up with your squad and you don't get outed by one of the other guys in your squad by his taking a risky shot. And alot of times I score higher as a lonewolf.

A good squad moves at lightning speed. They cap flags even before the enemy commander can respond by dropping an effective artillery strike on them.Mekstizzle wrote:

All valid points. The point behind the lonewolf thread is to help other make an impact on the battle field. One comment i agree on is taking advantage of the players position and letting squad leaders spawn off the lonewolf and then inturn allwoing the squad to spawn.
All lonewolf means is person that is too lazy to join squad. Mostly i just squad hop anyway as most squad leaders don't know how to stay alive
I have 631 flag captures, and 538 assists. A majority of my captures I achieved as a lone wolf. In my personal experience, its hard to find a decent squad that knows how to blitz an enemy flag and capture it quick enough that they dont get arty dropped on them.chittydog wrote:

What you failed to mention, is that lone wolves can be just as effective at capping flags as squads can be. In fact, I've been in squads where everyone just does there own thing and being a lone wolf in that situation, imo, is more effective then being part of a squad.
My prefered play style is more mercenary I guess. Move to where team mates need backup/assistance, help them out then move elsewhere. I'm probably one of the first to jump into a firefight (which explains the crappy KD), and I feel more at ease fighting if I dont have a group of people following me.
That being said, I will join a squad if I can see certain squads have got their heads screwed on and can blitz a map. If you ever play an Australian server, check out |TFA|, SRO and LM clans. They'll squad up and blitz capture CPs. Those are the sorts of squads I'll join rather then lone wolf.

And what do you think are doing the others?-nothing! there is chance that someone will join you 1/10. Only several times I had been in squad where was SL jumping all the time, like in clan wars, so we could spawn and fight, spawn and fight...that is the problem for SL, that if he dies, he wont leave his position to another person who is alive.

Yes the Loser SL that won't rotate out to allow for a respawn is pathetic. We played at karkand and would keep getting on the roof at the factory. We would do some damage and then get taken out by Arty. i survived one round of arty and told them all to leave the squad so they could rejoin on me. most complied but the SL and another guy kept saying no. and here they come 5 minutes later after going across the whole map back to the roof. Why they won't play like everyone else is beyond me. I personally hate beign squad leader but i will do it if i have to for the team.
i'm usually a lone wolf squad leader. i try to take CPs and that's when people join my squad then after the CP is ours they cycle out to another. i get frustrated at the routes people take or spawn on me while taking a CP and run around crazy giving our position away immediately.
if i'm mad at my team for being complete idiots i'll go lone wolf. on wake i went lone wolf as USMC and took 2 CPs and finally got us a foothold. instead of losing 200 - 0 we lost 6 - 0.
