My plan is to save it for the last award I ever get, just before I move on to the next addicting game.
I think it's bullshit such a prestigious medal basically signifies "you suck" in this game
i tried for mine, but it was because i saw the requirements for it and thought to myself "that will be easy to get" lol. Ive had it for a pretty long time, i was probably a LCPL, if that, when i got it. I only tried because i want to get all the medals at some point. Right now im more concerned about getting 500 Hours in....still got a little over 200 to go
after i got my kills, I hit enter, then clicked the "suicide" tab.
good award but shows "noobility" in real life its Respect for all peoples who have this but in BF2 ...
Imo, get it to complete your medal collection, but don't be proud that "w0ot zomg i got 3 purpel hearst!!111one!!11"
i agree with... myself?? huh, i think my friend typed that instead of megenius_man16 wrote:

lol, but yeah, it's kind of dumb
don't have one and don't plan on getting it... unless i just majorly suck one round
When you are green, it is not difficult to get one. @.@
That sounds remotely like meVeNg3nCe^ wrote:

It was funny because at the time I earned this, I never worked so hard for a Medal in my life. Im to good to ever get that by accident, even when I first got the game I wasn't bad enough to get it. It wook alot of Transport to Water trips to earn that. If I never did that I still would have that empty spot in my Award pile.

i got mine within the first few hours of me playing BF2. a 24/7 Wake server with extremely seasoned pilots and base rape allowed is not a place to start your career. i was very excited when i got it until i looked it up and found out that it's because i sucked.
You could just jump off a building or something...JeSTeR_Player1 wrote:

Since when? Hit your suicide button then hit tab. I got my purple heart from suiciding. So killing yourself DOES count as a death.the_heart_attack wrote:

You're silly
I dont have one. Dont plan on getting one either, even if it is to 'complete' my medal collection..
You got off easy then, move on and don't go back for it.Kmal1 wrote:
But I am out of my noob stage and I still dont have it.
yep naughty is absolutely right here.Naughty_Om wrote:
i have none, wont get one...those who get them were noobs when they got them.
I got mine sometime during my first week in BF2 on Karkand.
I played Medic (to get my basic medic badges) and got killed so many times it was unbelievable ^^.
you get it if your K/D ration is equal or worse than 1:4 with at least 5 kills ans 20 deaths.
[edit: so if you realy realy want one very badly.... go kill 5 people.... the just run head on into a crowd of enemies until you have 20 deaths ^^]

yep i was only like a Staff Seargent when i got mineNaughty_Om wrote:

I got it when I was having a torrid time on the game against some good players.
John Kerry's k/d ratio in Battlefield 2 must be horrendous.
I have the purple heart .. but that is the one medal I did not want ... not really a real "honor" to get ... basically you have a medal that says, "I got p0wned"
damn, I didn't think of that. Mine took me 2 rounds to get and involved driving into enemy spawns and having to start jumping around shooting at people with my pistol till they'd notice and kill me. You'd not believe how hard it can be to get shot when you want to be.alien-DSW-Gen wrote:

I personally think that this medal is a sign of courage.
Its a sign that although you have a shitty day, and you keep getting lags/deaths/phone calls/etc - YOU DONT QUIT TRYING.
Going "head to head" with the enemy until the very last second of the game.
This, naturally, applies to new comers to the game and not to players with 2 zillion points.. Those kind of players should know by now how to avoid being shot..
my 5 cents

(at least a pretty good excuse for my purple heart )
