I have spent sometime now wanting to play this map. I also now want to start to fly the jets, get some practice on them. I have found that Wake is definately the place to find " The retarded BF2 player"! I was playing on " Dedicated Wake" server and have never seen so many handicapped players. The whole time while on Chinese side everyone on team was either standing in front of a jet, tking for a jet. I also have never seen so many snipers shooting their own teammates out of the cockpit just to fly the damn thing! Now I understand as much as the next player the advantage flying, it is fun, but come on people, take a turn and patiently wait for the next one to spawn giving the rest of your team an opportunity to fly. I have come to believe this map brings out the "special" BF2 player.....

It sure does...ever got 4Tks as you took off? I have,2 on the wings 1 in front and 1 behind...No matter how much you yell at them they dont get it, best part is with good server admins (rare) they are the ones booted!!
I'll one better you. I actually got to get in the plane, but did not notice the "6" count em' "6" monkeys under my plane....... I started out that map down many points.....lol
Happens a lot on the mec side because of the J10. I normally try to get on the usmc side now on wake because you stand more of a chance of getting a plane. The down side is though that you tend to get shot down fairly quick if the J10 is about. On the plus side if you can survive for a while in the air while there is a J10 after you it means you are getting better at flying.

Seriously though, I've stopped bothering to use the F-35. If I get in one, it's usually just to bail out over the airfield.

Yes, yes it does. But it is the best large map there is. Once the points start getting capped, then the fun begins. Most of the retards just screw round till the first flag is taken, then they become actual PLAYERS. Still is the best map around, in my books.
That's true. It's pretty rare to find a good wake server. Sad, because I really like this map. But it's a good place for knifing all the snipers lying around

Why don't the first USMC pilot bail over a remote flag and have his squad mates spawn on him?
Instant flag cap within 30 seconds and USMC is in the game.
Instead you're at the mercy of the Black Hawk pilot who for some reason flies straight towards the island begging to be killed...
So, bail, spawn, cap, fight.
Am I totally wrong here?

You take off from behind, and fly foward(up), so you would only get 1 tk if you were a good piolit. And if you play on USA side, you can just hover and if they're ontop, side swipe allitle so they'll fall off in the ocean.the_outsider38 wrote:

yeah really -.- you have as PLA no chance to get points while the usmc dont have a flag... so everyone tries to get a plane or the heli to fly and kill loads!! (1 must admit that i kill for planes too, but mostly when i flied the whole round perfectly, then crashed, respawned and a crap who waits for 5 seconds or so, steals my plane x()
