Hey guys, I need some help with something.  I am making a movie titled "Cougar: The Documentary" and I need to know what programs you guys recommend for sound editing and what program you use to combine sound with video.  I also need to know how to the best ways to compress the video's to a managable size without ruining the quality of the video.

Whoever gives me the best tools, advice and/or help will get thier names mentioned in the credits and will get a sneak preview of the movie a week before I release it.  The premise of the movie is how I torment my clan mates and random pubbers on the game.  I already have about 10 minutes worth of useable video and about 20 minutes worth of usable TeamSpeak recordings.  The video will be anywhere from 10 to 17 minutes long with a stunt section at the end.

Expect much teabagging.

Hi..

I use/ have used premiere for video editing. (was fortunate enough to get a copy off a mate).

I've used FRAPS to record ingame footage, as well as a DV camera (wont lag you like FRAPS will).

For sound editing Acid and sound forge are pretty good, and I remember using something years ago called cooledit or something like that which let you do all the simple things, with the bonus of being free.

For the video adobe premiere is probably the best you're going to get, but if you're not planning on doing anything too flashy, good ol' windows movie maker will do the trick. Both of these will let you add titles, music and sounds to the original video, and both will also compress it for you when you're done editing. As for the compression, I'd go with WMV, DivX is good too, but I find it requires more faffing about to get it looking good with a low file size than WMV does.

Let us know when it's done so we can have a gander
