Without being rude because I know people are gonna bash you about using the search button, Ill answer.

1) no. You dont have to install bf2 for sf to work;just install and patch with the FULL (not incremental) 1.22
2)G36E; Scar;MP7;Did I miss one? (these came when euro came out, but they are good you dont have to buy euroL96A1; P90; )

3)Whatever you choose and whatever you feel is comfortable, depends on what kit you are comfy with....derr!

1. Do i have to install BF2 then re-install for SF to work ?

-No, but do it anyway. You'll be sorry when you can't uninstall it if something (and it often does) go wrong. I still have my messed up install of BF2 on my comp.

2. How many weapon unlocks will i get ?

-The same number as you currently have.

3. What weapon unlocks are best ?

-G36E for medic, L96A1 for sniper and P90 for AT are probably the best 3.

4. Does SF need to be patched itself ?

-Yes, although if you follow 1 it doesnt matter, you just patch everything at once.
