Is there a way I can set the machine or a particular weapon to spawn as single shot instead of full auto? Specifically, with the G3, I don't find full auto very usefull....but i always have to switch to single shot every time i re-spawn with the gun.....it would be easier to just set the gun to spawn as single shot, every time.

there might be a way which involves changing some stuff in some files, but punkbuster would probably detect a change in them and ban you.

or you can just hit the "change firing rate"-button, which takes like 0,25 secs
You should only have to spawn once anyway

I mapped the third weapon to the Back button on my mouse... so I don't even have to reach up and hit the 3 key, I just press down with my thumb to change firing modes. I also have the Forward button set to the second weapon so I can quickly switch to the pistol if I run out of ammo.
Um personally I'd rather have it on auto so I can swing around and tag spawn campers that get too close. And the rate of fire button switches you to single fire so quick I can usually switch to single after beginning a firefight with another infantry if I find that auto is firing inaccurately. Honestly tho... not that hard to do it yourself.

This is the untimate question of lazyness LoL it's not hard to hit 3 anyway y would u want it only on single shot? u know a bunny hopping medic with kill u faster with his G36e then the time u can fire 2 shots anyway. y bother?

it is called efficientcy....i like semi auto, and if there is a way to set it that way i was going to do it....it would be lazy NOT to try and set it up the way i want it....Kmal1 wrote:

While you practicing then try practicing switching the gun from auto to semi-auto. If you were any good you never would have posted such a stupid topic as this. I have expert assault gained mainly through the use of the G3, and at no point did I think, oh I wish I could spawn on single shot, I simply switched to it when required. And looking at your stats you gonna need a lot of practice to be anywhere near as good as nyte, or even me for that matter, dumb ass...

LOL Spawning in single fire, damn, I can imagine spawning in front of an enemy, freaking out and holding down the mouse1...oops your dead.
