winkle whlst you take a pee!  After reading all the flaming going on about 1.3 I felt I had to give my two pence.

Whilst people have geniune grievences with actual errors made with patches, most of what I hear is either user-end naivety or plain lazyness.

First off, yes, EA have messed up the server list but instead of coming on here typing in capitals to display your angst, why not use www.game-monitor.com as your server list (That's if you're advanced enough to know how to copy and paste, lol).  You could use xfire or even gamespy (which is bundled with the game).  I know the in game server list should work blah blah blah, but hey you really have to put these things in perspective when there are alternatives that are just as good or better (I've always got a lot more servers using game-monitor than the in-game one).

Secondly, if your game no longer loads or crashes a lot since 1.3 then guess what, IT'S YOUR PC!  Every patch, we get the same old people coming on here screaming about how it's made there game crash and how it's all EA's fault.  None of these people even assume it may actaully be their PC that's the problem.  I have had several issues with some patches but, and here's the science, I used my brain to solve them and they were all my end!!  (I have no programming or computer-related qualifacations BTW).

For example, someone on here was screaming at EA because his PC crashed after installing the patch.  He had changed the name of his BF2.exe file which was what had caused the problem and yet he was quick to point the finger at EA.  Bottom line is, EA make their patches to work with the files and filenames that they KNOW should be installed on your PC.  Too many people install mods or muck about with their settings and then moan when the patch doesn't work as if EA should know that your PC has had the programme files altered and you have that project joe bloggs mini-mod installed.

In conclusion, I'm not saying the sun shines out of EA's proverbial, but please consider that it might actually be your PC causing the problems at not EA.
