How to test VoiP is working?

I bought Icemat Siberia White -headset and Icemat 7.1 soundcard, price around 80 €. Ahh those are amazing together when I can hear everything 7.1 surround from comfortable headphones which doesn't hurt even when I play for hours and I have glasses! (Homer style: Mmm... Sounds... *drools* )

Well anyway I've done search! I've tested my mic is working, but when I join some server and try to speak at my squad no one answers. Is it because people don't have mics or they can't hear me and my voip isn't working? So how to test that people can hear me in the game? Do I have to run VoipServer.exe at backround or something? (Btw, what is "w32ded"?)

2 things does the speaker icon apear in game? it should be on

1 ( in your squad section should be a speaker icon )
2 ( bottom of the screen should be a speaker icon )

If both seemed to apear then you don't have any problems ( sum people just don't talk in game and use teamspeak )

I rember that when I press B (my mic button) I can see green mic icon on the right side of the screen. But I don't know about the squad mic icon, because I haven't checked that from the game yet b/c I have to go now to birhtday party.

Cool if green icon apears in game then I don't think you have a problem just other people not talking

Yeah, noone Ever Speaks in BF2.
Also, when you Loaded up BF2, you may have Seen a Microphone Test. Thats Another Way to Check.

Or maybe there is a problem with voip on the server/they havent got it enabled....that mic. test never seems to work properly on mine so i say its a POS. And Boris,just to correct a alight mistake ,there are times when the green icons appear and the mic.doesnt work,like if you have 2 seperate jack plugs for audio/mic on a headset and you forget to pug in the mic. one!
