Firstly:
the issue of base raping. Now i was playing Sharqi yesterday and managed to get into the MEC chopper without anyone t'king me in the process. I had this guy get in the gunners seat and it turned out that he was a really good gunner, so we then continued to kick ass out of the USMC. We started off by heading for the TV station to take out the enemy chopper as is the way on Sharqi. now while we were there we killed many USMC and then our team mates captured the flag there.
After this we then hovered about the different flags while our team mates captured them, killing many enemy while doing so.
The USMC then took back the TV station, so we then went back there to take out the chopper and kill anyone we saw. after a while, some of the USMC guys started to call my gunner a spawn raper. we just laughed it off cause to me we are not spawn raping because while we were killing the enemy, our team mates were taking the flag.
So do you consider it bad to attack the TV station and take out the enemy chopper? The flag is a cappable flag, so why do some people think that it is spawn raping?
Secondly:
I only really acknowledged the effectiveness of the attack chopper the other day. I have never really bothered using it much but in the past few weeks have become a good pilot. I was playing a wake island map the other day, and hopped into the China chopper with another good gunner. We then hovered around the bases while our team mates monitored the different parts of the map. Everytime some USMC troops managed to get on land, our commander would spot them and myself and the gunner would fly to their location and take them out. I made sure to stay away from any danger so that i would not be shot down. This went on for a good while with the USMC not getting anywhere, then a was crashed into by the enemy plane.
I went back to get the chopper and there were some other guys waiting for it, so i tried to get back in but one of them got the pilot seat and my gunner got in. they then crashed 5 seconds after this. next time i tried to get in, the enemy commander hit us with artillery, then a jet came and shot the heli before it even took off.
By this time the USMC had managed to get onto the land and capture a couple of flags. they then managed to put up a good fight but in the end lost.
So i noticed that myself and the gunner had stopped the USMC getting control of the game, but then some eegit stopped us from continuing to do this by forcing his way into the chopper when he didnt know what he was doing and could have cost us the round.
