P90 Vs. Mp7

OK so promotion is near and with that comes the question of what weapons to unlock (Oh no i hear cry, not another one of those useless threads)

So the weapons i don't yet have are the Mp7, P90, jackhammer and the MG36. So i was going to go for the jackhammer and the MP7, although i hate shotguns i just needed the jackhammer to unlock MP7.

I had not really thought about getting the MG36 because of the insaneness of the PKM but with every patch the PKM is getting worse so that makes the MG36 a worthwhile unlock.

So i got the weapons test mod and tried them all out, i used both the P90 and the MP7 and it seemed that the MP7 had a faster rate of fire but looking on Ubar it states that they are both the same so is it just the sound that makes it seem faster?

Anyone that has used/ unlocked these weapons what do you think?

P90's sound clip is slower, but the gun in the game (and in real life) is actually VERY fast firing. Unlock it on single player, shoot, and as you shoot look at your ammo on the bottom right, you'll see what I mean.

I'd unlock the P90...it's alot better and has a great ironsight, with good close range combat and decent mid-ranged firing.

Mp7 has iron sight and p90 has the red dot scope. the MP7 is way more accurate in my thought it looks cool too.

Lol that exactly what i think, although i think the AT class is more useful in my game play i still love shooting the Mp7.

I don't have the P-90, never picked it up for more than 3 seconds . But the MP-7 really gives the Engineer something at long range.

Definatly would go for the mp7, and i dont do that bad i get quite a few kills with it, as everyone else stated the rof is crazy and you can take on medium range targets

I say go for the mp7, then forget about firing in bursts because that gun has crazy accuracy.

I think P90 is shit tbh lol. I've unlocked it but I dont ever use it, PP-19 is much better single shot on iron sight... Plus the MP5 is alot better than it... But because its 2 different classes its hard to judge between the 2 but i'd go for MP7

go p90 with mp7 you have no distance shots what so ever don't listen to newbs,
p90 = laser sight scope
mp7 = low accuracy sight
you will have most success when using it in single shot

I do like the Mp7 but as i stated id have to unlock the jackhammer to get it (which am i sure i will never use).

Where as if i get the P90 i could get the MG36 as well as i already have the DAO.

The MG36 is ok but at the mo the pkm is still pritty good (noobish i know but ha it is war), the jackhammer i never use as its to quick, the mec sk12 is better, but from what your saying the p90 is probably going to be the one as its got a bigger mag than the mp5, but i love the mp5, i get some really good kill with that.
but dont bother with the mg36 just yet im not saying its bad but the m249 is about the same.

The MP7 has let me down pretty much everytime I've used it and most of my kills with it are made at a distance where I would have done just as well with the shotties.

The MG36 is great but I prefer the PKM because of it's strength in the damage department.

I have never tried the P90 but I've noticed a few kills with it in the top left corner.

If I were you I'd pick the P90 and MG36.

Everyone should note that if you haven't played with the P-90 post 1.3 then you don't know the full story. They had to have upped the ROF from 900 to 1200 or something, because now it empties rounds like no other, even faster than the mp-7 I think. I really like the P-90, but in your situation I'd probably get the Mp-7 because AT already has a solid unlock with the DAO-12 and unless you like or even have the option of using a pump shotty then engie needs a better option.

On paper the P90 is basically exactly the same as the MP7.
Every one has said about the zoomed view. Thats a choice that only you can make [most like the red dot, I like the iron sight].

According to the BF2S Wiki http://wiki.bf2s.com/weapons/comparison the MG36 has very little accuracy benefit over the PKM and a lot less power.

What I would say is that if you did go with the MP7 you would give the engineer class the option of an automatic mid range weapon.

Actually 1.3 fixed the P90's sound clip so it matches up.

Anyway, I really don't like the mp7 (though it does provide the engineer with a variety of unlocks)
The P90 beats the other Anti-Tank unlocks though.

I would go for Mp-7, I like it more than the P90. And, Anti Tank guys already have SMGs, and they are similar to the P90. Engineer on the other hand only got shotguns and really could use the Mp-7.

Well it seems pretty equal P90-8 recommendations
Mp7-6 recommendations

So i think that i am gonna go with the P90 as i will play the At class more in AF and will need a good gun for the USMC side and the PLA. Also i think that the Mg36 will be more useful than the jackhammer

in 1.3 the p90 rocks imho.
Thats like the only gun I use with that kit now. It is a VERY good weapon in close combat - half the time I dont even need to zoom to get kills.
If you like medium to long range.. then dont use it heh. just snipe with a rocket =P

I dont think it will beat a dao close up, but its still a good gun

P90 always rocked, the only thing that changed with it was the sound clip for it's firing, they changed the ROF to 900 the patch after the gun was introduced.... It's just the placebo effect and people thinking it pwns cause of the sound.

Mp7, P90, jackhammer and the MG36

Alright, skip the Jackhammer 'till last (well second to last). If your going to use Engineer for close range, the Remington and the Chinese shotguns are better. If you practice with those, you can get a one shot kill easy, I can usually get two shots per kill. The P90 is okay, but I still prefer the pistol for longer ranges and the DAO-12 for close. The MP7 is awsome, you can use it close or medium range. I still prefer the Remington for close range but the Mp7 works good too. The bad news is you need to unlock the Jackhammer. The MG36 is sort of an alternative to the PKM. They have about the same accuracy now, but the PKM is stronger and slower. The MG36 is faster but weaker. It depends if you like to hit them as many times as possible for the kill, or if you like your shots to count and hit them only a couple times for a kill. Basically they are the same gun when you boil it down.

In short, work for the MP7, but don't use the Jackhammer unless your MEC or planning to be outnumbered.

well, P90 is strong but inaccurate, the MP7 is accurate but doest do a lot of damage, the jackhammer is kinda useless from distances and the mg36 is very good, even has a burst mod i would pick the mg36 !!!
