I always seem to arty the grenade spammers (teammates}sitting on top of that hill doing nothin else ! ...

I would asy 9/10. No one is perfect. However your commanding skills are only as good as the team your playing on.
Case in point. Was commanding Karkand. We got whipped because I would see the US side heading for a flag, would send a squad request to go defend the flag, and of course, they don't. So you lose and your a bad commander because no one listens to you.
Another example:
Same map, we switch sides, I type into team "Ok guys do me a favor an just humor me, No one attack hotel. Fight your way around it and cap flags from the Mec base back. I promise you everyone will just sit at hotel and wait". Sure as shit, we got all the flags but hotel quickly and just had a two flag battle. We won.
Moral is, listen to your commanders, again, they are only as good as you are following orders.

I'm not perfect, so not 10.

9 because of the praise volume I recieve vs. mutiny attempts. Also, because I keep an eye on everything and direct traffic, offense, defense, squad direction, etc. If i used a mic, i'd possibly earn myself a 10.

Commanding is probably the 2nd easiest thing to do in BF2(sniping is the easiest). The bad thing is having a good team that will work as a team and follow your guidance. A lot of people go lone wolf just to improve their own stats and do not help in getting flags or defending them. Moral of the story is that if your team is weak, you cannot be an effective commander.
i think im pretty good too, always try to spot enemies and give orders to troops, as annoying as some do what they want so i tell em my grandma can do better and move on to the next squad, Place UAV on spot than can cover most of the fight and sometimes jumping in the fight to help when not much ppl on server.
Dont use Voip much cause something is fucked up on my game and mic doesnt work on V B but works fine on TS when im with some friends.

I have a problem in spotting enemy choppers, I just get "Enemy Forces Spotted" all the time (often, even when they are fucking taking off...) and I know it pisses people off....but im trying to warn of an incoming chopper! Jets arent usually a problem, but jeeps get the same thing too

I'm the freaking best commander! It's only that my team always sucks!
I'd give myself a full blown 10 to be honest. I don't radiospam but I do alert nearby friendlies that there are enemies in their midst. I use artillery wisely, I don't use cartillery and the UAV is always running I usually win most of the rounds that I command on..

I always try to play a few minutes ahead of where I want to be i.e. call up the arty just before the enemies arrive at a flag they want to cap, and anticipate what people are going to need in the way of supplies.
My biggest fault is dropping arty on an enemy that actually isn't there any more ;-)

The question isnt wether or not Im good at it, because I feel I can get the job done. The problem is, the whole time im doing it im so freaking bored I wanna drop arty on my house, But I need command time so grrrr.

I'd say i'm a 9, because i've won 21/23 (yes i count) of the games that i've commanded and the fact that still make mistakes. No one is perfect. I do think i'm pretty good though. I just get more points normally from just being in a squad, so i'm not commander very much

I'd say I'm a decent commander, slightly better than average. But I find that I win much more when I'm actually in the field capping flags. Prolly cuz nobody listens to the commander in the servers I play.
10/10. Seriously I don't see how anyone cannot be a 10. Commanding is too easy. Bores the hell out of me. I rarely command unless I really don't feel like losing.

My arty skills needs work, I allways seem to place it too late or just a little off.
I get bored of commander after 1 or 2 rounds, more so when were losing.
I dont have the 1337 skillz of flying a chopper or plane while in the commander screen or taking vehicles you guys otherwise need.
I know I need alot of work in this area but it just isn't fun enough for me to care all that much about it right now, I'm a grunt damn it!
Oh yeah I stay in the commander screen.
I try to not to annoy my squads too much, i usually let them figure out what to do by themselves, only giving orders when they are being dim.
I have no arty skills i play on IO.. always UAVing where the enemies are at (duh)

I'd say about 7/10. There's been rounds where we were down 40 tickets, I went commander and kept spotting enemies and stuff and we came back for the win. I don't use team speak, that's what kills me as a commander. The other thing is I am an important asset to any team since I'm one of the very few dedicated Anti-Tankers left out there. I feel as if I'm a much better player if I go attack then to hang back and command.
I am good at this part, but there is a problem!!!
Ok, I know that there are tons of you strategy game players out there and we all have the same problem commanding in this game, WE NEED 100 % out of the team, what we command, they should do!!!!
I alway get so pissed off when I have an excellent strategy, and when I give out the orders, everyone replies "No way man" Ok, you get the feeling like "what the fuck am I doing this for then huh????"
Sometimes it works fine if you have at least two squads who obey and exactly what you want.
Another thing that I have learned about this is: "Think like your enemy!!!"
Ok, you see a squad, you watch how they move, ok, they are probably going for the flag over there...hmm.. They are meeting my guys there and there will be a small fight over there so thats where I drop arty on them, and Boom!!!!
The best squads are those who asks for supplies, uav and arty!! Most of the games that we have won has been related to these issues! I let them ask for what they want and I give it to them!!!
Hate the times when i shoot arty at something and the second after the squad leader asks for arty support on a location that would have brought many kills.... But no, I had to waste it on a Sniper....
So I´t´s pretty hard in other words to rate my self as a commander, cause it´s all about the team!!!!
If I have a good team that like teamwork, then I am the ultimate commander...
