Video: My "evil" macros

Okay guys, here's a vid I've just made quickly to show you the macros I have set up to prove they're not this big advantage everyone is saying I've got. The first one is my rapid fire on my DAO and the second is my chopper seat switch/tv fire macro (ignore the missiles I fire at first, pressed the wrong button, lol).

Here's what they are & I am doing:

DAO-12 -

Macro: Pressing the left mouse button every 0.05 seconds and 12 times (note this only happens whilst I hold the button, i.e I can let go at any time to stop the shooting so I don't have to use a whole clip every time.

Me: Not a lot in this vid because I'm shooting at a wall but normally I would be holding that button down whilst guiding the mouse on the enemy and moving about.

Chopper:

Macro: Pressing the F2 key, pausing for 0.1 seconds, pressing the right mouse button, futher slight pause, pressing the left mouse button and rapid firing it (like the DAO) so I can guide it in flight.

Me: Flying the chopper, guiding the mouse whilst the TV is in flight.

So there you go and I think most of you would agree that both of those could be done very easily without macros.

P.S Mango, RSI stands for Repetitive Strain Injury (You asked somewhere else in this post I think) and yes I do suffer from it as I have to work with computers all day...

I'm not against macros... because well its a macro not a downloaded hack..

2 macros are impossible to stop so if theres nothing we can do about them all we can do is over come..

3. yes that does give you an advantage... BUT.. we can all spend the money for this advantage.. every friggen one of us..

4. I'm to cheap to upgrade to a macro keyboard or mouse, but its the same if you were to go up against a guy with 2 gigs of ram or some one with 256 gigs, or a guy with a extremely good comp and someone running a really shitty pc on on really shitty settings..

5. adapt gentlemen if you cant you will lose.. Money is the factor here not hacks...

by the way test how fast you can shoot a dao with out a macro.. pretty damn fast.. so the speed is not a factor..

you can give me neg karma all you want.. that does not stop the fact that there's nothing you can do to stop a macro.. Nothing.. so why complain about it.. i repeat THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT A MACRO.. If you do not over come and adapt like everything else in the game you will continue to suck...

and at least have the balls to put your name on the karma..

That is the fastest you can shoot the DAO (well I may have notched in down a couple of milliseconds to gauge recoil better but near enough the fastest), all the guns are hard coded so you can only shoot at a ceratin speed.

so the point is youve made a video to show us what we already know...maybe find a handicapped server since you suffer from rsi but dont try and justify it. seriously, if you have to justify your way of playing the game so much...

Estebanrey,,..,, it dosent matter what you say someone will always call you a cheat/haxor/whatever the latest insult is.....I use a Z Board ..with keymaps all over the place...if it makes your gaming experience fun...and dosent affect anyone else ... you paid your money you play your way...if they dont like it they can go play outside...

can this be done with a G15 keyboard?

I dont know if it records mouse clicks.. just keyboard keys.. i dunno..? I guess I could make the fire button be something else as well as mouse click..

Oh and also, what if you were to fire the missile, and hit something really quick, would u then be stuck firing your gunner cannon for a few seconds? Or is there some way around that?

yeah, can this be done w/ a Razer Copperhead?

I have RSI (not). l can shoot the DAO that fast. It's not that hard people. Macros aren't such a big deal.

You can't do that. As he said, there are hardcoded firing speeds you can't overcome with a macro. For a test, setup a macro for just shooting and switch to pistol. Play with the macro for about 1 minute, and you'll see what I'm talking about. I tried what he's doing with my Nostromo n52, and it's no faster than I can click. Actually, just like the macro, I can click faster than the DAO can fire. In the case of the pistol, it's just easier to have control over the rate of fire and try to make more accurate shots.

That DAO is firing faster than normal, and the sequence of switching to the gunner, enaging tv missile mode and firing is definitely faster than anybody could do it normally, so you're cheating. Simple as.

If they meant for you to have macros, why isn't there an option in the control setup for making one key do a sequence of things? Oh right, because it's cheating. Piss off and whore up karkand or something.

Cohammer your sig is flawed. If someone negs you, they leave a reason in the box. PMing them won't help. They'll tell you to fuck off. If they didn't leave a reason, they don't have one and there's no point. All it does is discourages negs 1/100th of a percent of the time, and won't help you at this point.

Anyways, I'm not for or against Macros, but it's true when someone says there's nothing you can do to stop it. All the game sees is key clicks, and looking for a pattern could only result in a false positive.
