This post is for a friend he has the following problem can you guys help

okay so i finally get bf2 reinstalled and running right, i play around on a few maps last night in singleplayer to get used to it again and here we go. i try and log on to the mutiny server when 62% of the map is loaded i hear the infamous bell go off and my bf2 icon turns into an hourglass. i alt tabbed out to find a message saying "memory.dll sanity check: block size -184390336 (2336.10 mb) doesn't seem sane" i hit continue and the map loaded and i got onto the server but my game ran like S. i get this same result in singleplayer and it happens on every map. i have had bf2 and all the expansions installed previously and i never had this problem. i have un-installed, re-installed, defragged the whole works and i can't get rid of this thing any help on this would be apreciated.
ANYBODY please help

I saw a very similar error and it turned out to be a RAM issue. Just so you can eliminate that as a possiblity (Cause it sounds like youve tried alot of other things) Go and look up memtest86. Grab the download, the app will let you make a floppy. Throw the floppy in and boot off it, then let the prog run for awhile. If you see any red messages, its your ram. If you let it run for say an hour and its clean, then your issue lies elsewhere.
