Who remembers even before BF2 came out and you saw all these screenshots of what looked like a city map?

That one for exampe.  What ever happened to this map?  The game looked so amazing it led everyone to wanting to buy the game, and when you did you found out that there was no map like that except Strike at Karkand.  The game has three infantry-focused maps, but even all three of them have tanks, and two of them have helicopters in them.  EA needs to come out with a booster pack with 4-5 brand new infantry-focused maps with 0 tanks and 0 helicopters.  Have DPVs, Humvees, Vodniks, or FAVs, but that is it.

The booster pack would most likely make more money than the other two combined, and it would be much more fun.  I bring this up because I am getting sick of Strike at Karkand play only and I believe everyone else is too.

I know it will never come out because they are too preoccupied with Battlefield 2142 and new patches to fix the mistakes they have caused, but what if they came out with the prementioned booster pack?

They are already out there in community map packs, you just need to take the stats syringe from your arm.

No that is not the mosque at Mashtuur City, it just looks like it.

I liked BF2 because I liked the idea of vehicles.  I'm not down with the infantry only thing.  Probably why my infantry stats suck so much.......everytime I'm on foot, I'm usually looking for a vehicle (and get killed in the process). 

I also get bored on foot too.....because it seems the battle is always just ahead of me, and I can never make it to the action in time before it moves out of range again.  I hate walking and running places.  Give me a damn chopper.

Yeah, the map in the beginning, looked real cool, but I haven't seen it. It look likes Mashtuur(With the mosque) but in ain't the same city. Not that I'm complaining but, yeah a real infantry based urban mp would be cool, like the one on that picture(There's also a demo movie of it, can;t find the ;ink right now)

Go to gametrailers.com and check out the old BF2 vids/trailers.  What you see there is a picture of Mashtuur City in pre-alpha.  The maps we play now are "dumbed-down" to optimize framerates etc.  You can see what the original Mashtuur looked like... pretty gnarly...
