So I found a SB Audigy Platinum lying in my room and decide to hook it up. Everything seemed alright, I used the disk that came with the card to install all the hardware and drivers and stuff, then I go and get a newer driver for the card and install that. But when I try to join teamspeak, I get this error

I don't use Teamspeak, and I haven't become familiar with the software at all, but after some googling I found a suggestion stating that you could try switching from DirectSound to Wave or vice versa?

Confirm also that the settings for sound input/output in your Windows Control Panel are set for the Audigy. Also, try with disabling the AC'97 or similar onboard-integrated audio controller from your BIOS if possible.

A fresh reinstall of DirectX could also help.

Hope something works!

Just download the newest version from e.g. here or here and run the installer.

Don't know if it'll fix your problem, though..
