It would help to know what sort of joystick you have first. There are many threads concerning this in existence on these forums already as well.
I think we need a bit more info. Make, model, etc. would be a good start. And things like
- Whether you can successfully calibrate it in Windows.
- Any other USB devices you're running.
- Any other system info you think might be helpful.

What type of stick do you have? What are the issues you are encountering during set up? What are you setting it up for? ( I assume its flight, but one cannot be sure hehe). I have a Saitek X-52, the basic set up is simple, but to get it to its fullest potential, the sst software must be engaged, that is a handfull it seems.

wich stick do you have ?
i just bought a thrustmaster usb joystick (i know noobish). when i pull the stick towards me, i want the plane to go up... ive tried invert mouse, but it wont change!!! HELP me
I a microsoft SideWinder and have a similar problem. I've calibrated it, and set up the controls in BF2 but when I want it to bank left, it banks right. If someone has an easy fix for this, that would be great, otherwise, I think it's time for a new joystick.
