OK, well i did some searching and didnt find anything on the topic (though i didnt search very deep but owell)

ok, i was playing on a 24/7 big points server Karkand only and was using my L96 and owning everyone, this new guy joins and starts raping the shit out of me with the SVD, now, back in 1.22 the SVD SUCKED!, the PLA sniper is just as good, its a 2 hit gun w/ 10 bullets and is as accurate as the L96..... i used the SVD next round and got over 150 points......... its crzy accurate now and i dont even use the L96 nemore...

anyone else seen this yet? or used it?

twice as many bullets and its just as accurate as the L96 when youre standing up, you can still get 1 shot kills, but its easier w/ em now

I use the SVD only in Special Forces. Can't stand the freakin M95. I think their fine the way they are.. I mean, in reality, one shot from any sniper would take a guy down. But then I guess the semi-autos would be too good, wouldn't they?

I started preferring the semi-auto rifles over anything else for city maps. At short ranges there's no bullet drop to worry about and headshots are a lot easier. It's also faster to wipe out a squad when you don't spend the majority of your time preparing for your next shot.

The M-16 is a non-bolt action rifle, as is every other gun in that game with the exception of light machine guns, sub machine guns and obviously the shotguns, and pistols...duh...just because someone can do good with it doesn't mean they're a pussy. It just means they know how to use that weapon effectivley. The SVD and Type 88 both have only 45 damage, so it takes 3 shots to kill you on the body, or one to the head. I've used the SVD in close quaters before and have had great success, just because you don't like something doesn't mean that you have to be an ass about it, hell I even own a semi-auto sniper rifle, and I know that thing kicks ass.

I have noticed that they two are very good. I had a guy at point blank range and I unloaded a full P90 clip into him in the head and he hit me with 2 shots at point blank and BAM....Dead!! I might have to try it myself and see if that is true.

No.....Because i was showing that I was hitting him and it was a pretty fast battle between the two of us. I didn't miss because I was 2 feet infront of him. So...it was very fast. So no bad aim is not in the picture.

THE SVD and the chink sniper rifle suck ass unless you have like 3 sec. of aiming on a non moving target then they are good.

I've always used the SVD and Type 88, and I would choose them over the M24 every time. They are accurate and if you miss you don't need to wait for the bolt action to line up again and take a second shot.
