Yep same here, and when I enter a new game or map JC what a load time!!!!!! All this since the new patch (see other topic). I thought it was lagg but my ping was like 14, so nothing wrong there. Not 1 spawn point reacted to the mouse click. I have all the new drivers installed for Razer Diamondback so IS IT THAT or something else pls help us!!!!!!!!

Put your old mouse back in - does that work?

Your new mouse, does it work with other applications?

If yes and yes, sounds like there's a conflict between BF2 and the mouse.  Take it back to the shop you bought it from [repackaged] and tell them it's not what you wanted.  Get something like the Logitech MX1000 or Click Plus.

Lynx, haven't had the time for 2 days now but will test it again this evening or tomorrow evening ok??

Think it's the patch for some reason, didn't have any problems before it, or mayby the server I was in.....????
Anyhow I'll post my findings here later.

If you wanna have a look at Razer themselfs = www.razerzone.com

i had a idea...  is there a way u can change the control buttons for BF2 manualy without the game being open?  like open up a file on ut C: drive and change the controls,    maby that would make the mouse work

ITS WORKIN!!!    for those of u that have the same problem, hears how i got it to work

1 - uninstall the drivers, yes UNINSTALL

2 - restart ur pc (keep the mouse pluged in)

3 - kick ass in bf2

only bad thing is u cant change the sensativaty or the mouse button asignments but the set up already is GR8!

The Spawn point map at Zatar wetlands is very buggy since 1.03. all o my friends have the same problem, the mouse is not accurate. In commander screen as well. it is always shifted a bit to the right and bottom, so you are unable to place arty etc... that's why i hardly play zatar.

I have never had a problem with my diamondback... love it to pieces. Just sounds like you didn't follow directions and installed the drivers before plugging in the mouse, which will cause issues. Glad you got it working though.

Glad it is workin.  I have had my eye on the diamondback or even the copperhead for a while now.  I was even able to feel it at Best Buy.  The only problem - the side buttons are sensitive and get pushed on accident.  Do you find they get in the way?  What do you think overall?  Is there a noticeable difference in sensitivity?  My Logitech infrared is fairly jumpy because it doesnt seem to be sensitive enough to match the tiny adjustments I need to make in the game.  It is very irritating when you miss your headshot cause your mouse wont respond... AARRRGGGHH!

They don't get in the way, the only problem I have is that my hands are large and so only one of the four side buttons actually is useful, I designated it as prone, and i'm loving it. It's great in armor, I can swing the turret around with a twitch of the wrist, tank whoring

very very sensitive mouse, but overall I liek it a lot, I try to play at my friends house on his comp, and I just can't do it with a normal-sensitivity mouse. I use mine with an X-Ray mouse pad as well, and I like it.

Exactly right, I got used to the side buttons really quickly. I have smaller hands so I hate the Logitech 51x series becuase they are just so damn big and bulky. The side buttons on the diamondback however are really only supposed to be useful on the side your thumb is on, since it is symmetrical and therefore usable by either hand.

I have one and it works perfectly. I did have the same problem at Zatar but only in 16 player maps there. If it is too sensitive for you just adjust the sensitivity in the game controls.

Nothin beats bieng able to spin a turrent all the way around with only like 2 inches of mouse movement. I don't really use the side buttons so I can't answer anymore than what I already have.

Hey all those of you with the diamondback mouse and working DPI sensitivity changing... what sensitivity do you usually play at?

I usually tend to stick around the 2-3 sens. range for anything except tanks and planes. Tanks I quickchange quite high to get instant turning... planes I haven't found the right sens. to make good turns.

Quick thing though... nothing worse than having to jump out of a tank with 8 sens setting and then trying to scroll to switch weapon AND scroll to go back to my usual 3 sens. setting... I look like an idiot and will usually end up with wrench or knife out LOL.

I never use the quick sens switch, it really isn't even needed in bf2 considering you can specify mouse sensitivity in bf2 for infantry, ground vehicles, choppers, and planes all individually.
