Hey I'm just wondering: does anyone actually play any BF2 mods? If so, are any of them worth checking out?

I've looked around at a couple mod sites, but was annoyed by the many displays of over-ambition. I'm reminded of my friend who wanted to code a Tribes mod back in highschool, but never actually got started (despite many "screens" he showed me).

On the other hand, DC was the ish...

Can you still join the Official EA servers if you have these mods?

I once customized single player then when i tried to join one of the servers I got an error saying "You must have unmodified content to join" or something like that

Dude, try USI(Us Intervention Mod), theres over like 20 servers and its a very good mod.
Also, theres a mod coming out called Point Of Existence 2 that will be very popular

Project Reality Mod is pretty good and has a fair few servers playing it. Quite a hefty file though.
