BF2S Forums How to annoy and beat the sniper haters

I don't hate snipers, I think they play a very valuable role and help balance the game.
I do however think that snipers have the biggest egos and love to rant about their exploits. Make videos screenshots etc and cram these forums with their rantings. A sniper lounge type section in these forums would give you all somewhere to argue about who is the best without everyone else having to join in. I know, don't read the threads....but its kind of like car crashes, terrible but you gotta have a look.

Nyte, if you're so good, why do you still die so much? Statpadder.com or not, I'd expect better from a 'God amongst snipers.'

So this ticks people off?? Not me. I don't pay attention to the garble on the screen anyway, its usually full of egotistic pixels anyway.

Snipers don't really bug me as Im a true groundpounder, Im more concerned about tanks/apc's and other infantry for that matter, snipers usually get me after someone else had a piece of me, kinda like leftovers if you will. But granted if a sniper is about I usually become one --if Im bored or the wife is talking to me--because thats the only kit I can do with one hand.


In my 1000 hrs, Ive seen alot better. Keep up the practice though.

gene_pool did amazingly well considering his ping in the round with me (200+ ping).  Even though he was on losing end, he managed to be 2nd. Props. (Oh, he didn't get pissed at my ramblings, he expected it).

I've only used that once for a "certain" player on this forum whose name starts with an "E", I won't say who though.  Needless to say he called me a "n!igger" with "no life" and left the server.

I set these up as binds on my Logitech G15 so I can push 1 key to execute the macros.  (Please don't abuse it by spamming garbage).

It annoys the HELL out of the enemy and gets into their head.  I'm starting to use this more and more, it has never failed me so far.  I've only lost the rounds where I DIDN'T use this tactic for the past 2 weeks.

Trust me, it works.  Especially to the sniper haters, they get so annoyed and start kick votes against you and call you names/threaten to report you/etc etc.

Play to win.

thanks for the idea, everytime I kill a sniper I might bind a text to all saying:

snipers are gay, 1 NOOB DOWN

honestly anyone that sits there the entire round on a roof doing sweet fuck all... yes there are some great snipers around but the majority of em are useless and contribute piss all to help the team with.

Hmmm thats why most of the time on sharqi as US all the tards go sniper and they wonder why the lose almost every round.


Why report you, lol you may kill someone once or twice but most of the time you snipers are just easy kills.

Sniper is one of those things that has a fairly wide disparity between one you can see who is good, and one you can see who is bad and I think the ego comes in for some people when you're a good sniper and you know it.

I mean, we've all seen these guys who fancy themselves snipers.. and all they do is climb the same ladder, to the same spot on each map and die without killing anyone almost every time.  Often on Ghost Town you'll see a sniper at the beginning of the round take the transport chopper and jump out of it over the large grey office building in the middle eastern part of the city and you just have to wonder how that person ever thought they'd get anything done doing that.  These guys do absolutely nothing for their team but lose tickets.

A good sniper is a valuable asset to any team.   A sniper doing his job well can cover a lot of territory, defend a lot of CP's simultanously, and never die. 

I don't come to community forums for FPS's very often, so I haven't really experienced sniper ego but the visibility of this disparity of skill could be why it happens.

It's hard to tell usually based on one or two rounds if a Support or Assault player is bad... maybe he was hurt when you shot him, maybe he's having a bad round.  But when you see the same sniper doing the same dumb crap over and over, you can make judgements pretty easily.
