Ok guys,
let set the record straight, BF2142 is not a expansion or a booster, it just a new game with the same game engine which is stable on DX-9c. They just want more $$$ from BattleField addict. I don't give a shit about forum/talk about this...I will try the demo and if I like it, I'll buy it.(That why they call this DEMO).

My theories is:
EA and Dice will wait for DX10 to be out and they will invest money then. If you think just for a minute...vista will be out shortly, there is a new socket for AMD(AM2) and the DDR2 is out and all other shit in the PC industry are changing... I say, wait until June 2007 for BF3.

If you have a better theorie on BF3, please share your tough.

I think what he is trying to say, is that if there is even going to be a BF3 then don't expect it until at least June 2007, so that it can run on all the next gen stuff.

Edit/ And plus - Quake Wars is going to be ten times more amazing than Battlefield 2142, even if you DO need to upgrade for it!

the vista beta 2 is open for free download from the microsoft site allready (d/l'ing now, but their servers are slow + 3.2gb). i think EA/DICE is considering 2143 the bf3, but they ARE WRONG! I WANT A REAL BF3, that, while it should be dx10 supported, will be runable on a dx9 card on low...that would be awesome. however, i see no evidence of a release date.

btw: developers allready have versions of DX10 on which to get stuff ready/work in new games with it on DX10 vid card lauch (expected this year). none of the games are expected to be out untill 3-12 months after vista release.
