A improvement I'd like to see in BF2 is that the rocket on APC's load faster. Right now it's just shit slow and they don't have a chance against AT/tanks. Another improvement is that APC drivers will not have to bail out on the 2nd rocket hit, maybe they should be reduced to 4 or 5 bars of health, but no more. Anyone agree?
I don't agree, on the fact that AT is a martyr kit right now, and should be upgraded in any way humanly possible, but that includes that APC drivers should in fact be killed INSTANTLY when the APC goes. The fact that you have the balls to go up against an APC, take it down successfully with AT, only to have the person have a chance to come out and run away/kill you is stupid, and means you don't get any points for all the work. Especially considering real SRAW missiles can shatter most tanks like glass on a single impact, let alone an APC. Rockets should do enough damage to kill on 1-2 shots on an APC, and 2-3 for a tank, not set the thing on fire to be repaired or bailed. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if instead of crappy rockets like you have now, you have a TOW launcher you have to set down and use as a stationary launcher. I mean, come on, Anti-Tank guys have a crappy rocket launcher that takes 2-3 shots to kill you, and if you get out, all they're gonna have is a shotgun or submachine gun to fight you with. Why attack infantry like AT gets no assault rifle, but support classes like medics get the best in the game, I have no idea.
Honestly...If you have THAT hard a time killing Anti-Tank Personnel in an APC, when the shells have minor splash damage, full auto, and a single kill with a direct hit, then you suck. There are 5 simple, common sense tips that any jackass can follow for better armor usage.
A) Don't roll alone, since you're in an armored PERSONNEL carrier. Bring an engineer, or just anyone who can cover your back. And ask the commander for supplies and UAV. That can make an APC into a God.
B) Avoid conjested areas that have a lot of places for AT guys to hide for cover and leave you with no room to maneuver. You can't kill people right next to you, and you have the clear advantage against any infantry unit you can plainly see. Stick to capping points in open areas where you can see and move. Your basic shot is more than enough to take down infantry, and it only takes 2 rockets tops to take out any vehicle, but you can only kill infantry if you know where they are, and tanks should usually be avoided unless you have a rocket loaded. Fire one, then retreat using basic shot and smokers, then take it on again with another rocket once reloaded. But in order to do that, you need an open area. A tank always has the advantage on an APC in a straight fight, just like APC always has an advantage on mobile AA, so you have to be able to stick and move.
C) Be proactive. If you're being targeted, hunt the person down and put the fight on your terms. Don't wait for them to pop out and start shooting at their leisure. And if there's no way you can shoot into their little crevice before they can kill you...retreat. You survive to get repaired, and if they come after you, they have to leave their cover. You may be a coward for running away from an infantry guy while you're in armor, but you'll be a coward with one less death and possibly many more kills.
D) For the love of GOD...do NOT leave the vehicle just because someone walks up close to you. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've seen someone bail in armor just because someone ran up to them and MIGHT plant C4. Try to kill them in the vehicle, or just die like a man, just don't give the enemy YOUR armor. EVER. Everytime I see an APC or tank and I don't think I have a chance to get to cover in time or kill it, I just risk charging at it, even if I'm not Spec-Ops. I'd say just over half the time, people will assume I'm going to detonate them, jump out idiotically, and I get their vehicle and kill them and all their friends.
E) If you're approaching a flag you want to cap, and you kill a few guys on the way, don't go for that flag, go for the next one over...if you can get there without losing too much time. If you kill someone near a base, they'll assume you're planning to take it, and then they'll spawn there as AT or Engineer or Spec-Ops before you can neutralize, and you have a whole new set of shit on your hands. Just throw them for a loop...slip on by to the next closest spawn point, and you'll generally be met with much less resistance, only to go back and take the first spawn point later when they're less organized and/or busy with something else.

And APC will become invincible on city maps , yeh ? in real life an A\T rocket would take any vehicle out, even a tank if they hit it where it had low armor, i think they should make weapons more powerfull, even the small arms.... the way the weapons are in Americas Army....... or even like they were in BFV, where it took about 2 rockets to take out a tank if u hit it from the back..... but thats just my opinion

no way! APC is ok as it is. And if you are skilled enough or at least have noob in tank and you are in APC, you can win. Easy shoot to tracks, then missile hit to tracks and tank is history. There must be a moment of surprise a little too. +you can play as AT in APC, when you have shot your missile- bail out and shoot tank to tracks= 2 points practice practice practice
It is already a challenge to AT take out tanks and APCs, because mostly he is alone. Everyone plays sniper, medic and medic...again medic. Yes, those are easy points but someone must engage armor too.
Besides, APC is better killing machine than tank, so you can kill 20 ppl and then die. I think that it is fair enough.
